According to WQAM Dolphins Tonight yesterday, MIA have offered Channing Crowder and Yeremiah Bell contract offers. They are identical offers, but have not disclosed what the numbers were.

Also, an offer has been made to Vernon Carey as well. Those are the only 3 of the 5 major FAs who Parcells/Ireland has offered contracts to since the date to cut players began on Monday.

I guess Parcells doesn't feel like the Crowder haters after all...

Carey's contract is higher than theirs apparently. But Crowder confirmed on Dolphins Tonight to have been offered a contract along with Carey and Bell.

Again, Bell's and Crowder's contracts identical.

Nice hopefully all three will be under contract before free agency starts

Yes, interesting Goodman and Hill were not offered cotract extensions...:err: And aparently Wilford was not cut as many expected...are thinking of bringing him back and giving him another chance like they did Martin, who everybody was hating on, except me of course...:D

goodman maybe but please let hill walk.

Funny, that they didn't offer Goodman a contract. maybe they are waiting to see if OAK or HOU franchise their top notch CBs or not before doing so...or maybe they are eyeing someone in the draft.

Hill makes sense because they are interested in Louis Delmas apparently.

I can't believe Crowder will like that very much.

Funny that the Dolphins Defense was finally respectable once Hill regained his Starting position. I personally dont want to see us let him walk. I think he is a better Safety then some give him credit for.

IMO our weakest position in the secondary became pretty apparent late this last season that it was Will Allen. Can not wait!!! to see him out of a fins uniform.

We'll see. That's just "your" speculation. It was Crowder himself who confirmed this and he sounded like he wanted to be back in MIA next year. So, we'll see...

Oh man. If this is true, soooooo many Crowder haters on this board will be eating crow, but not me!

I can't wait for more info (hopefully with a link)!!!!!!

I am not a crowder fan, but if BP was able to get him under contract for the next year or two without breaking the bank, I am fine with it.

In all honesty Crowder is a good field general and has been known to be very football smart. If we do draft someone this year, or bring in a younger FA, it will be nice to have them under crowder for a year or two.

Then, you need to go back and watch those games again. Because anyone who watched last year's games knows that Goodman was our weaklink.

Teams avoided Will Allen's side and targeted Goodman. In fact that's why he got the opportunities for those INTS. It wasn't until Goodman got his act together that we improved.

Goodman was our weaklink. Get the facts straight, not just the stats.

I think that's fair. Yeremiah Bell was about as prolific a tackler as Channing Crowder and made a lot of plays this year. They played different positions and the Safety position is considered a little less valuable than ILB, but Bell played a little bit better relative to his position than Crowder played relative to his. So, it's fair for them to have been offered the same amount. I like it.

Carey just plays a more valuable position. He needed to be offered more.

I am not hearing Andre Goodman's name mentioned as among the people offered a contract. That...is kind of disappointing. Unless it means they go after Leigh Bodden, since Bodden's first two years in the league were under Todd Bowles as position coach.

Weneed to get younger in the secondary. They're pretty much all on the wrong side of 30 wich mean they will be slowing down.... Considering last season, this cant be good.
