Miami by the Numbers

Achane has been one of the few bright spots on the team this year. He's more than earned a pay raise from Miami. There is no way I see him playing on the last year on his rookie deal in 2026 for $1.7M.
That would be so Grier...wait...

The last week on this board has been much more enjoyable because the admins/mods did a great job of banning people who were only there to antagonize other posters. Lets not let continue the sniping back and forth between fellow brothers and lets please refrain from insulting each other, think we owe the admins and mods some respect after what they've done to make this board a much more tolerant place to express our views. Rico didnt insult anyone, he just piggybacked off a comment and made light of the situation, and I also can never insult or judge anyone for smoking weed as I have partaken in that quite a bit over my life lol.

As far as Ricky, he did say that marijuana helps his recovery and pain tolerance after games and disagreed with it being a banned substance by the NFL, and I agree with him. There is really no advantage it gives you on the football field, unless you consider someone eating a bag of cheetos on the sideline helping them perfrom better in game lol.
Also - Ricky did marijuana and refused to take the Oxy stuff. His perspective did indeed age well.

Achane is looking like our best RB ever drafted after 3 seasons. What a steal in the 3rd round. Detroit and Atlanta gave up top 10 picks in same draft to get the same production.
I remember Abdul-Jabbar’s 1,000 yard season as it was the first 1,000 yard back we had in Marino’s career and first since 1978 and Delvin Williams (though Andra Franklin’s 702 in the 9 game ‘82 season should count). Jabbar was so mediocre - he got those 1,000 yards on like 400 carries.

I’m not sure I’ve seen better instincts in a NFL RB…..he could find holes that would just astound me, and that’s not even speaking of his physical abilities!
He was amazing. I remember Jim Brown saying something similar to you during that 2002 season.

Rickey did not retire just to smoke blunts. Wrongstadt told everybody who was listening at his season ending press conference that his main focus in the off season was to build a better offensive line to boost his best player. He did not draft one single OL man or sign one significant OL to make things easier after running his gator about it. Rickey said "muck you" and walked away after two first round draft choices... down the drain...

I liked Bernie Parmalee. He wasn't elite but he was decent. Twice he had 800+ yards, and he probably could've hit 1000 with more carries.
