Not sure of the specifics but....according to this ...The hearing next week will somehow pave the way for the Dolphins to trade Ricky's rights w/out taking a huge cap hit....

If the Dolphins can win their grievance it will pave the way for the team to trade Williams and not get hit with a significant cap hit, thus ridding themselves of a man who has turned into quite the headache for their squad.

How? what?? huh??

Two possibilities come to mind:

- Maybe some of the money to be recouped isn't just incentive money that has already been counted on the cap

- Maybe the money that has been counted on the cap gets credited on the current cap. That seems awfully wrong, but so does the first item because I thought it was all incentive money.

I think we might have to wait for Clumpy on this one...

Nice sig!

I have no clue about what that means, but If we have to wait for Clumpy for us to solve this then

Glazer doesn't know what he is talking about.

Williams was traded to to the Dolphins and the Saints had to charge their salary cap for the remaining signing bonus. Any bonus the Dolphins paid Williams has already been charged so there would be no dead money charged to the Dolphins salary cap if he were traded.

The same situation is true of Booker and Boston.
