Miami Defensive rankings... Whoa!!!

Coyle really does scheme a D to give dbs opportunities to make plays. Luckily we have playmakers in our secondary. I expect our whole D to be looking to make a statement Sunday
 
So nice to see Jones playing back at the level he was two years ago. It is good that they have some confidence from being able to get the better of some average passing teams, because we have some really good ones coming up, they will need their confidence high because they will give up some plays to some of the teams we have to play the next few weeks.

If we can get some size and speed to cover the other teams TEs from our LBs or Jordan or McCain we could have a really good pass defense. Jordan and McCain both have the size/speed combination to make throws to TEs very difficult. McCain has shown flashes of being VERY good in coverage, and we saw it from Jordan in college. Philbin said this week that Jordan can still do that and is moving just as good this year as he did last year even though he has added weight. Maybe we will see Jordan cover Gates is certain situations this week.
 
I watched the tape from last years game and Jordon was covering Gates standing up in the middle as LB in second half.

This is probly why Ledarius Green had a big day. they are looking to work those two.
 
The run defense needs to improve. Does no good to have a great pass defense if you can't get off the field against the Jags. I like this defense but Trusnik is trash
 
I like the rankings but remember we still have Trusnik and Wheeler as part of that vaunted Defense.
 
I like the D, but lets see where those ranking are after playing SD, Detroit and Denver.
 
Run defense is definitely an issue, but much better than last year.

I like this defense. Jax came out on an emotional high last week and it showed...but over time, this defense wore them down.

Hayden is right however.....lets see in 4 weeks. Some big tests ahead of us.
 
The opponents we face tend to average out over the entire year. 3 very good offensive teams followed up by 3 bad offensive teams. Jetsx2 and Vikings.
Defense stats will probably drop over the next 4 weeks and then move back up in the final 4 weeks of season.
