The Miami Dolphins Franchise currently have 9 NFL Hall of Famers:

Paul Warfield
Larry Csonka
Jim Langer
Bob Griese
Larry Little
Dwight Stephenson
Don Shula
Nick Buoniconti
Dan Marino

Possibly could go up to 10 this Saturday when the class of 07 is announced:
Bob Kuechenberg

Current "eligible" Dolphin players for possible hall of fame induction:
Mark Clayton
Mark Duper
Joe Robbie
Reggie Roby
Richmond Webb - (Eligible Next Year)

Current Dolphins for possible future hall of fame induction: Who else!!
Zach Thomas
Jason Taylor

Unbiasly, Do you think any of these players will get in?
Which ones do you think will get in first ballot?
Any other dolphin players you can think of that also deserve hall of fame induction?

Based on what some sport writers have said about Duper and Clayton, the answer is no. They think Marino is the only reason they were the players they were and not a compliment to him.
Reggie Roby's chances of making it slim and non.
Joe Robbie should have been in long ago but I think not being one of the pioneers has hurt him.
Richmond Webb is similar to Kooch. Great player but didn't really get the press he should have.

If Jason can have a couple of more years similar to what he did this past season, then he should make it.
Zach may have to wait as long as Harry Carson. A great player who was either overshadowed by a teammate or overlooked by the media.

I believe Clayton will get in based on two facts - he and Marino at one time had the most TDs of any QB/WR combination in history, AND Clayton broke the single season receiving TD record in '84. Duper could flat out fly, and his career numbers were very similar to Clayton's, but Clayton had the intangibles of a winner...

Roby could boom punts, but how many punters get in?

Webb and Keuch should get in IMO.

Taylor is a "lock" IMO and Thomas pretty close.

It's interesting as you look at this list and realize Marino played with only one current HOFer during his prime ('83-'93) in Stephenson - and they only played together 2-3 seasons before Dwight's career ended prematurely. This leads me to my vote "no" to Joe Robbie. He was cheap with the $$$ - and I blame him for not bringing a championship to Miami during the Marino years - why all the "reach" picks in early draft rounds - Bosa, Kumerow, Shipp, Brophy, Charles, Hampton, Stradford, etc???? Just ask Cszonk, Warfield and Kiick how grateful he was to them after helping lead the franchise to 3 straight Superbowl appearances. Ok, I'm being a selfish fan here, but...open the wallet a little more and who knows? How many HOFers did Joe Montana play with? Easily between 5-10. It's really not a mystery why Dan couldn't help us win the big one....

If he does that, he just might prove to be the most prolific DE in modern history b/c he had an amazing year this past season!!!

TE Marv Fleming - Nothing impressive statistically, however he was the 1st player to have 4 Super Bowl rings and the 1st to play in 5. Two with G.B.
Just a maybe.

If Zach Thomas and Jason Taylor don't get in, that would be an incredible snubbing. Zach has made 3 or 4 all-pro teams (not sure on that) and has had over 100 tackles every year in his career. Jason's play speaks for itself.

With the DPoY, I see JT close to a lock .... albeit, 1 more year like this past one would easily secure the deal for him

For ZT, he still needs a couple more years ... he needs to get in based off of 'sustained' high level of production vice being considered 'one of the greatest' at LB ... as compared to Urlacher / Lewis who are both 'almost' locks already
