In 2001, the Dolphins sent their No. 56 and No. 122 draft picks to Dallas for the No. 52 pick.

The trade-up was to land WR Chris Chambers from Wisconsin.

Chambers turned out to be a great pick and became one of the best WRs in Dolphins history. He ranks fourth all-time in team history in receiving yards.

He had a career year in 2005 with 82 catches for 1,118 yards and 11 TDs.

The draft picks the Dolphins gave up to get Chambers turned into SS Tony Dixon (56) and OLB Markus Steele (122).

Getting Paul Warfield was the first trade I thought of. He was such a clutch WR for many years.

Not the best, but I think the Ricky Williams trade is certainly one of the most significant in Fins history.

First round picks are suppose to be competent, if not dominate players for at least a decade. Ricky gave us 2 stellar years but cost us 2 first rounders(plus).

Warfield gets the mark. By far.

Good value....But Chambers and Best anything just doesnt sound right.
Unimaginative, run-first offense with run of a the mill QBs his entire Miami career. His career numbers would've looked alot different in more competent system. We picked up Marshall, at the time coming off 3 big seasons and regarded as a top 3 WR alongside Fitzgerald and Andre Johnson. His 2010 numbers don't look too different from a typical Chambers season.

Chris Chambers only had 80 catches and a 1000 yards once in his career, a "typical" year for him would be around 60 catches and 800 yds. Not really number 1 wide out material. Marshall had 86 catches and over a 1000 yards on a down year with injury. If he stayed healthy he would have gotten 100 receptions. You can't compare Marshall and Chambers.
