Miami Dolphins: Adam Gase wants Julius Thomas more involved

To this point of the season he has just six receptions for 42 yards and no touchdowns. Gase has taken notice and hopes for this trend to turn itself around. Gase said via floridafootballinsiders.com that he’s simply waiting for the right coverages — namely matching him up with a safety or backer — to unleash his tight end.

He's terrible. He has definitely lost a step. Looks like his feet are stuck in quicksand. He doesn't put himself in good positions to catch the ball. A few times, on 3rd down, he has caught the ball behind the sticks and his momentum has taken him out of bounds. Cutler's placement was fine, he just doesn't seem to position himself well to catch and run. I would prefer to see Gray out there.

He's slow and sucks. Really Gase. Gase wants him more involved, and I want him cut. Gray is much better. He plays hard and got decent speed. Gase is definitely over thinking

I really question Gase on this one. Thomas is slower than hell. He runs like a fat out of shape lineman. We need to get MarQueis Gray more involved.

Time will tell. I have been wrong before, but I just don't see how a one dimensional Thomas is better for us than a more versatile Gray.
