Miami Dolphins Coach Tony Sparano Firmly on The HotSeat

Ross can act all piss and tough but this is on him.It was his decision to keep Sparano and now his mistake its hitting him right on the face and showing what it was a dumb business MISTAKE

He won my support when he stepped up to "change his mindset" at the beginning of the season.....but he lately has been talking like he just doesn't understand what's going on. Come on coach, prove me right!!

i agree, he had my support at beginning of the season, but that 4 and 1 call did it, waisting a timeout was the worst decision i have seen a head coach make. he lost me right there and than..

Sparano is outta here. Ross tried to replace him last year and failed. I don't think Sparano survives this road trip.

I also have to wonder if Ireland hasn't sandbagged him a bit. Given the fact that Sparano was hired by Parcells and not Ireland perhaps Ireland wants his own guy in there. Ireland is the one who makes personel decisions and given the state of our OL and the guys who were available in FA, Ireland did very little to address the glaring issue. Sure he drafted Pouncey but even a blind dog knew we also needed a guard and tackle. So he signs a turnstile tackle in Columbo while ignoring pro bowl talented players that were available to play guard.

Once Sparano is gone and Ireland has hired his guy (whoever that is), I bet he signs Chad Henne long term (Ross likes him) and addresses RT & RG first thing in FA or the top of the draft next year.

Is pretty sad when just after two games into the season we are talking about coaching changes and draft picks.I don't think this is a bad team is just a team been badly coached.Sparano needs to go is the only way this team will show its thru potential

I gotta give WV credit.. he was arguing long before anyone else that Tony is a clueless field general. His redeeming qualities involved the support of his players. I personally wrote a lot of his miscues off to a natural HC learning curve progression but unfortunately it looks like that curve and his career have flat-lined. At this point, especially factoring in how his supposed "specialty" the OL is in such dire condition, I see little argument left to retain him. It's just a matter of time and continuity.

He got killed by the Blind Faith Tony Supporters...

He ended up being 100% correct.

I cannot understand why Ross hung Sparano out to dry after the end of the season, but then kept him when there were other good candidates besides Harbaugh. All that did is delay the inevitable and further enrage the fans. There's no way Tony makes it through the season.

TS has had his time to put his mark on.... the process... the team... and the W/L column. He did the best he could... it's not good enough.... why wait.... what would we miss without TS.... I suggest.... nothing.

these types of things are always said based on perception. then new guy takes over and you realize what you dont have anymore that maybe was positive. Negative news travels ten times faster and spreads much much quicker.

henceforth the cliche, you never know what your missing until its gone.

now i know this wont convince you or anyone else for that matter, but these fans clearly focus on negative all day every day.

The only window I see firing Sparano is 0-4 going into a bye week. If it doesn't happen then, I don't think it happens at all. They could promote Mike Nolan to intermin HC and let Daboll continue to run the offense for the remainder of the year and then do an official coaching search . . . and not some train wreck cross country fly over.

You keep Sparano after the bye week, you keep him the rest of the year, you already made a mockery of the situation . . . if Tony can't get his players to play at their fullest potential on Sundays, then his flaw, ends up being our gain with Andrew Luck as the #1 pick . . . you technically tank the season w/o officially tanking it. And at 0-4 . . . there ain't no coming back from that. At that point, I wouldn't be satisfied going 6-6 to finish the year and finishing 6-10. If you go 0-4, you need to start thinking about the draft and the QB.

Excuse me I have been trying to shed that light just as long. You should see the hate messages from the HOMERS I have got since I started blasting him after the Saints debacle in 09. Hindsight the only mistake I made was biting my tongue after the Colts debacle.
