mirrors a lot of my thoughts but this guy doesnt seem to get at that weight he's not gonna make a good 43 olb either...must drop weight to do so...nor does he seem to get that his best fit period is a 34 olb

but at least he sees the slow get off of the ball (which baffles me that he and the ballyhooed dline coach didn't work on that this freaking offseason for which there's no excuse same for not working on developing more pass rush arsenal...looks like the only thing that they worked on was carbo loading) and that he looks sluggish with both speed and power and has resorted to primarily using the bull rush with the added weight to get to the qb

Kacy Rodgers is probably one of the best, if not the best, D-line coach we've had here. You can blame that on Jordan, who seems to talk a good game but never backs it up. He said at the end of last year he would get with Jason Taylor and pick his brain yet the first time they met was when Jason Taylor was a guest coach in OTA's. The resources have been there for Jordan and he hasn't taken advantage. Right now Jordan's career trajectory is heading towards bust and not the one in Canton.

i think the position coach shares some of the blame he should have had dj out there with a ball on a stick simulating the snap working on him getting off the damn ball...hell he could do it in his own living room

Can't force a guy to work if he doesn't want it. Olivier Vernon made a huge jump year one to year two, Shelby has been improving every year, Odrick has improved since his rookie year and he's been lined up at DE and DT. Kendall Langford improved under Rodgers, Soliai improved under Rodgers. I don't think the problem is the position coach here...it's the player.

well that's true but i'd like to see more proof he has a poor work ethic...all i know is the guy hasn't developed other than on the scale and someone told him to in order to play more in our system he needs to add that weight...add weight sure but not at the expense of the tools that got you drafted in the top 5 to begin with

Well maybe the shortcut of taking Peds speaks to his work ethic or maybe speaks for it lol
