This is hard as I don't think anyone of the defense played exceptionally well...

I went with Jones as well...I thought he was dynamic when he came back....

i think i'd have to choose the pass option here if there was one...no one

This is a hard one. All those guys had their moments but none played that well towards the end.

I'll say Wake

Honest answer is probably Jones as he made a huge difference once he came back, but you may have to split that with Delmas because once he went out our pass defense went to ****e as well.

Wake disappeared way too much to get the award IMO, and while Jenkins was godsend, he disappeared late as well

This is just sad...

Wake's leadership is always felt, but towards the end of the season our defensive line wasn't able to get off blocks for ****.

I don't know if I can tell you who our defensive MVP was, but I can tell you who the opposing teams defensive MVP was.

Chambers makes a good point about the D really going south after Delmas was hurt. Not sayings he should win just that Wilson and others were really bad replacing him.
Grimes was playing outstanding in the middle of the year with 4 picks in 3 games including that highlight one but he too fall off at the end.

as they were an embarrassment late on (especially the pass rush) id prefer none of the above, but Jenkins because he was good when nothing was expected

It's crazy when you have guys who have actual "leadership" qualities on your team and your team manages to play up to their potential. Delmas isn't an all world safety, but he's the closest thing we had on that defense to a leader and we definitely played better when he was in there and healthy.

Grimes ain't that guy, Wake . . . as much as people think he is . . . ain't that guy . . . none of the LB's are that guy . . . none of the DLine are that guy . . . . Finnegan is getting over the hill. Delmas, IMO, is a must keep, we need that guy healthy and starting on day 1. This defense needs a voice on the field, and it's clear as day, Delmas was that guy in 2014 and we were troubled in 2014 without him.

I'm hoping with experience under his belt, Jenkins becomes more vocal and a leader.

mike lbs are meant to be defensive leaders...get a real damn mike and you will get a real leader

I have to say Grimes with Wake a close second. I thought Grimes was a little inconsistent but the plays he made were game changers..The pick 6, the amazing pick that kept us in the Detroit game etc
...Now I am questioning myself bc I think 4 of his picks came in blow outs.....

I'm with Hoops in thinking we don't has that fiery leader on the team now especially if they don't resign Delmas.
Getting one should be a high priority.
