The Miami Dolphins believe center Daniel Kilgore and guard Josh Sitton are going to have a positive impact on Ryan Tannehill.
First of all, coach Adam Gase thinks Tannehill is going to take fewer violent shots, because of their talent.
And secondly, Gase thinks these two players have experienced success and will be outstanding leaders.
“I feel like we’re getting two good dudes that are hard workers, that want to do it right, that want to be part of the solution of us winning,” Miami coach Adam Gase said. “I think we’re going to have the positive results we’re looking for.”

Extremely optimistic about Tunsil - Sitton - Kilgore - Larsen/Davis/Asiata - James
All the ingredients are there. Toughness, athleticism, experience, brains and brawn. We even have a shot at decent depth. I think we will get a guard in round 4, 5 or 6. The pouncey thing is over - actually that got weird because he was never dominant - athletic and tough before injuries plagued him - he was no Dwight Stephenson. His exit ushers in a new beginning.

I really like the Sitton pick up. Really impressed with everything this guy does. I don't care how old he is. To me the best move of the off season. He will no doubt make Tunsil better and solidify the left side of the line...been awhile since we've been able to say that.

1st rounder who hasn't lived up to his potential at tackle
Former all pro that's 33 years old
Average center
Average guard
Average tackle

Don't get your hopes up too high.

Better than what they had the past two years. Better than what they have had in quite some time. Eventually they will need to draft guys to replace Kilgore and Sitton but they should be solid in 2018. Tunsil was playing better towards the end of last season, James was solid before he got hurt and Davis shows a lot of potential. We will see how they play together on the field. A big plus will be having the starting Center practicing during the week.

Compared to what swirls a bit when I flush... I'll take it

Too late!

But thanks for your concern :)

It's what this o-line can accomplish as a unit. If they are able to get some push in the run game and give RT a couple seconds to throw the ball we'll be amazing compared to last season. I like our chances of this unit being very effective this year.

With Miami’s luck the line will probably be vastly improved but will probably get derailed by injuries and lack of depth.

Best line we’ve had on paper in awhile. Having a player (the center) that actually practices with the team should be big. IF everyone can stay healthy they have a lot of potential.

I hope we roll with Davis as the RG and let Larsen be the primary backup at G (or center even). Brendel is the next center up then. Young / Smith tackles. Pretty solid

If we can draft an OL who slips for some reason with one of our fourths id be okay with that but we can push off the immediate need for a high pick OL way off for a bit

It's not like those guys are home runs, but that group should be much improved at minimum as long as they don't pull a Grove and Smiley on us. Definitely reasons to see this group trending up - there's decent depth for the first time in forever, the oline coach has to be an improvement even if by default, and there will be increased urgency to protect your QB who was sidelined forever.

I'm cautiously optimistic about that unit for the first time since Thill was drafted ... so that's saying something. They don't need to be all pros or anything. Just give me average. An average oline is plenty to win football games.
