Ted Ginn Jr. has one wrist tattooed with the words ''9th overall in 2007,'' as a reminder of how the NFL Draft changed his life 18 months ago.

The other wrist is decorated with the words, ''Truly blessed,'' as commentary of what that change did for him.

So it is fair to say the Dolphins receiver has gotten his arms around the idea of being a high draft pick.

Now he needs to get his hands around more passes.

agreed....i guess we will see this week when the offensive line holds up that we can get teddy the ball at least 5 or 6 times and not just on screens

Most WR's take until their 3rd year until they start to come into their own. Ginn start behind most because of his return abilities were seen as a value to draft him higher then where his receiving skills would have been. I'll wait until next year before judging what he does on the field, we need to have patience with all our young players.

Look how long it took for Welker to emerge. Granted he doesn't have the pressure of being a 1st rd draft pick. I wish Ginn would get of a mean streak to him. He's truly the 'nice guy' the Cameuller regeme touted him as.

Top receivers play with a chip on their shoulders. Typical of the primadona position that it is. Ginn needs to play with that edge.

Yeah...he really wont show his skill until we have a viable option out there with him. I like Cam and Wilford and Bess but look at some of the receivers who are considered the best and see that they have another threat to throw to. With the exception of Johnson in Houston most "elite" receivers have a counterpart. Ginn doesn't maybe if we a FA or draft some stud WR or make a trade Ginn will explode because right now defenses can double, jam and do whatever they want because he is our only threat at receiver we have good receivers but he can take it to the house every touch so people really focus on him.

welker had the advantage of being an "unknown" and he didn't play the same position as ginn. In fact until this year welker was never covered by the number 1 corner. I agree though about ginn needing to develope that "killer instinct" and that "ball belongs to me fools" mentality.
