If there is a bright spot on the Miami Dolphins offense it may just be Josh Rosen. Starting in his first game for the Dolphins, he looked pretty good.
Josh Rosen was poised in the pocket and his passes were mostly on target. Even the deep balls. The Miami Dolphins still only managed to score six points and that will never be good enough in the NFL.
The Dolphins are hoping that Rosen will develop quickly enough to give them an idea of whether or not he can lead the franchise into the future. Sunday in Dallas did not answer that question but there were plenty of positives to take away from that game.

looked pretty good just needs to clean up some of those errant throws. I think as the offense begins to establish an identity and becomes more cohesive he will improve on that. We do need a great oline and receiver's who can catch a bit better. I am optimistic that the more work they see together the better they will be.

It's easy to see that we need more than a QB but if we land Tua or whomever along with Rosen we are more than ok in that position.

There were a few times i thought he looked indecisive and held the ball way to long. But outside of that he looked good enough to make the game a lot closer overall. We have nothing in the cobberts. Absolutely, no running game to speak of (Ballage is as bad as last year. I never saw the fascination with the guy), the receivers are inconsistent at catching the ball and making plays afterwards. The oline has certainly gotten better since game one but still aren't the quality you want.

It's going to be interesting watching Rosen's progress throughout the season.

Well, with two TD DROPS and a fumble at the the 5 by Drake, AND, very questionable offensive calls with 1st and goal at the 9 ( 3 straight runs, and kicked the FG), I say he held his own.
We should have been up 28-10 at halftime.

Literally every team could say the same thing, if not for this or that would coulda been up so and so. In week 2 Mahomes threw 2 TD's that didn't count because of holding penalties somehow I don't think Chief fans are going to harp on that all season long like it seem's our fans are going to.

Youre right, but the Chiefs have the talent to overcome those mistakes; we don't.

Exactly. At the QB position. He had a whole half after and we scored 0 points. We had like 30 yards of offense in the second half.

I don't think we've scored ANY points in the second half thru three games.

Ummm, not sure that it's really important to point out that he got no help when we're comparing Rosen to Fitzpatrick.

We intentionally stripped this team of talent, including a good RB in Frank Gore, a good veteran LG in Josh Sitton (who was injured all but 1 game of last year, but he was still good), our best offensive player in Laremy Tunsil, a veteran RT in Ju'Wuan James, and only drafted 1 OL who had a chance to start. In FA we didn't go after any OL. We traded away our most veteran and most productive WR, Kenny Stills. We added an UDFA in Preston Williams. Everyone heard us debating ad nauseum that we were de-constructing the team and tanking. Everyone knew the surrounding cast was going to be BAD. Then we played OL who were off the street (UDFA Calhoun, waived players Boehm and Isadora, scrapheap player Ja'marcus Webb) and yet people have been non-stop screaming to start Josh Rosen. Then they complain when he isn't surrounded by a competent OL … seems kinda silly.

We traded away our best WR (Kenny Stills), our other starting WR (DaVante Parker) has been injured and underwhelming his entire career here. We replace Stills with everyone's favorite darling and instant FinHeaven-All-Pro, UDFA Preston Williams, who drops a ton of balls yet everyone wants to crown as a future star. We start Jakeem Grant, the smallest guy on the team and a guy with hands issues since he arrived, and he drops some balls (and a punt). Somehow these things are all new and more relevant once Josh Rosen is QB? Not sure I agree with that.

Where were these people saying to give Fitzpatrick a chance when he was running for his life? Where were these guys when our OL wasn't opening up run lanes and we generated almost no running game? Where were these guys when receivers were not getting open or dropping passes from Fitzpatrick? If it wasn't relevant then, then it shouldn't be relevant now. Or, we can acknowledge the elephant in the room and just admit that it was always relevant for both Fitzpatrick and Rosen. And now that we're giving Rosen his chance, he needs to exceed what Fitzpatrick accomplished or he'll be judged like we did to Fitzpatrick. Let's not have a double standard here … the talent level sucks and whomever plays QB will have to overcome that. It's not a Josh Rosen-specific thing.

His play was decent but he still has plenty of work to do. Also, if you're going to count dropped passes, do you count dropped interceptions?

Fitzpatrick did make it to double digit points his first game against a better defense...............................................

For the most part, I forgive him for those errant throws.

He's being forced to get rid of the ball in under 2 seconds and the players on the receiving end of those throws are subpar at best. Tired of seeing dolphins QBs crumble and take sacks on every other dropback. Its refreshing in a very weird way whenever he just gets rid of the ball -great or errant throw- before the sack and doesnt take a penalty doing so.
