PHOENIX — The decision to move Laremy Tunsil to left tackle in his second season was quite obvious to Miami Dolphins coach Adam Gase.
After all, Gase had seen Tunsil take snap after snap at left tackle on the practice field.
“When we watch him practice at left tackle, it just looks different,” Gase said Tuesday. “When you watch him he doesn’t look like a guy his size. He’s so smooth. His confidence when he goes to left tackle, changes. You can tell he knows that’s where he belongs.”
Tunsil is a natural left tackle.

The upgrade at LT will be greater in 2017 than whatever downgrade, if any, we may experience at LG. I feel comfortable saying that.

HE is the best LT to come out in the last 5 or so years....would be a top 5 pick this year. He is an elite talent.

An underappreciated aspect to our off-season moves IMHO, and one of the reasons why I think if Pouncey is healthy, our o-line could even be a strength. I was one of the few folks who liked the Juwan James pick at the time, and by the 6th or so game last year, I couldn't have been more disappointed with him. But he looked really, really good the last third of the season, and once the stories came out that he was adjusting to new technique his play through the year made sense. If we have a set of bookend tackles in Tunsil and James, and a pro bowl center, I can see why they aren't spending money or high picks on guards, and it makes sense. Card-board cutouts should practically be able to do the jobs. Just not Dallas Thomas, Jamil Douglas, or Billy Turner.
