Miami Dolphins Official Head Coach search thread

I personally don’t want any of the Green Bay coaches or anyone that has ever been a coach for them. We’ve already been down that road. If we don’t get Harbaugh then I would give either Shula or Rizzi a shot.
Can you, or anyone else who wants Chris Shula, explain why you want him to be the head coach other than just his name?

Whoever the Dolphins hire as the new head coach, will probably be in an uphill battle to win many games.

The roster is devoid of talent at every position. This is a 2-3 year rebuild, just to get in position to perhaps have winning record or potentially challenge for a playoff spot.

Whoever gets hired, is going to need all the support he can get. Question is, will we as fans answer the call.
Right. Who are the young players to build around?

Achane obviously, but the shelf life for running backs is usually short. Paul has progressed. I feel good about him. Some nice role player types with Washington, Wright showing late.

On defense, there's not much. Phillips and Grant at tackle.

Agree 2-3 years.

I’d take LaFleur. He’s blown games IN the playoffs which he’s constantly in. We fight for the the scraps of just trying to get into the playoffs. A second location and a chance to re-evaluate himself could benefit this franchise big time. It’s not uncommon.

Guy was handed a generational talent at QB and only managed one Super Bowl appearance. Inexcusable
As much as I love and respect Shula, this is correct. As far as I'm concerned, his legacy is forever tainted by his failure to win a super bowl with the greatest qb of all time. It can't be excused or overlooked.

It’s crazy the dislike for Lafluer. Dudes team is competing and in the playoffs EVERY year.

I’d take him as our coach in a heart beat. Other than Harbaugh, no candidate is even close. I also don’t think he’s gonna be available, it would be idiotic for the Packers to let him go.

Then again, I thought the same of the Ravens and they did it, so.
