S Louis Delmas (calf) was upgraded to full participation in Thursday's practice. He was limited Wednesday.
TE Charles Clay needs to have a clean game this week. Clay (nine receptions, 58 yards, no touchdowns) has dropped a pass in each of the first two games.
C Mike Pouncey (hip) continues to practice on a limited basis but it remains unknown whether he'd even play on a limited basis vs. Kansas City.
MLB Kelvin Sheppard is likely to get playing time this week. Sheppard, signed a week ago, played special teams last week vs. Buffalo.
LB Jonathan Freeny (knee) appeared on the injury report for the first time. Freeny is a core special teams player.
DE Terrence Fede (knee), who hasn't practiced since the regular season began, practiced on a limited basis Thursday. His presence could help Sunday vs. Kansas City. While the Dolphins are a 4-3 base defense, they frequently jump into a 5-2.
DE Cam Wake was quiet statistically last week vs. Buffalo but he's still the same high-motor guy. Coach Joe Philbin said they showed the team film Thursday of Wake's all-out effort on the final play of Wednesday's practice.
WLB Jelani Jenkins started the week tied for fifth in the NFL with 20 tackles. Jenkins replaced Dannell Ellerbe (hip), who was injured in the opener.
RB Lamar Miller (right ankle) has practiced fully and hasn't appeared on the injury report after leaving Buffalo in a walking boot. Miller was injured in the fourth quarter and didn't return. He'll likely be the primary ball-carrier Sunday vs. Kansas City.
