Miami Dolphins Power Rankings Week 2
  • Chad Pennington (1): This guy is still the best player on this team and is truly building chemistry with his receivers. I expect Chad to have another great season in Miami.
  • Jake Long (4): It seems no matter who he locks in practice or games they get shut out. His technique seems stronger than last season and this guy is going to be good for a long time.
  • Ronnie Brown (3): He came to camp in the best shape of his career and looks dominant out there
  • Joey Porter (2): J-Peezy need to get some pressure on the Chad’s this week in practice or he could continue to fall.
  • Jason Ferguson (9): Absolute center-piece to the Dolphins defense
  • Jason Taylor (NR): He probably should have been on the top 25 last week but I wanted him to prove something to me. He did that with a solid week of practice and a very good scrimmage where he recorded 2 sacks and played well in pass coverage.
  • Will Allen (6): Will was solid in practice this week but did struggle with rookie Patrick Turner.
  • Ricky Williams (7): Looks to be in great shape; Should never had quit on us in 2004
  • Vernon Carey (12): Vernon and Jake plan on being the best Offensive Tackle tandem in the league.
  • Davone Bess (16): Moved into the starting unit this week. What a gem of an undrafted rookie this guy was.
  • Justin Smiley (8): This guy went to the hospital to be with his wife while they had their baby then came back to practice the next day
  • Anthony Fasano (5): Dropped two balls in Saturday’s scrimmage. I am not worried but he falls until he steps it up.
  • Ted Ginn Jr. (14): Every day this guy gets better. 1,000 yards?
  • Yeremiah Bell (15): Started making plays this week.
  • Jake Grove (18): Mean and nasty just the way I like them; well at least as a center for my football team.
  • Patrick Turner (19): This guy has been dominating every corner including Will Allen. Bite me Todd McShay.
  • Dan Carpenter (13): Money had a few misses this week.
  • Cameron Wake (21): Put pressure on the Quarterbacks all week. Registered a sack in today’s scrimmage.
  • Akin Ayodele (10): He made some nice hits this weak but didn’t make many plays.
  • Channing Crowder (11): Had to miss a couple days to rest his knees. I hope he can stay healthy.
  • Greg Camarillo (17): Not a bad week but was moved to second team.
  • Chad Henne (24): This guy has a canon of an arm. Looked sharp this week and during the scrimmage.
  • Sean Smith (22): Couple of interceptions this week and is showing his physicality. Unreal INT in the scrimmage
  • Paul Solai (NR): Shed some weight and looks quicker and stronger out there. Turning the corner?
  • Donald Thomas (NR): Comes back and starts throwing people around. He will get his job back.

Who fell off the list?

*Shawn Murphy: Started Saturday at the scrimmage but was replaced by Joe Berger for Thursday and Friday’s practices.

*Vontae Davis: Lost Hartline in the scrimmage but playing fairly well.

*Pat White: Inconsistent. Did throw 2 touchdowns in the scrimmage

Whose Rising?

*Brian Hartline: Made big plays all week including a 40 yard catch on Vontae Davis in the scrimmage
*Patrick Cobbs: Big play for a touchdown in the scrimmage; this guy gives us everything
*Joe Berger: Fighting for a starting spot
*Tony McDaniel: Running with first team
*Erik Walden: He wants to make this team

Whose Falling:

*Matt Roth: Get healthy!
*Eric Green: This guy is always getting beat deep.
*Ethan Kilmer: He quit? What a *****!

Dont see how you can have Davis in there ahead of Smith.

Personally I think if Pennington is #1 and R.Brown is close behind then J.Long needs to be #2 because of their success is greatly affected by his play. I know it's a minor complaint but seems to make sense to me, otherwise great work.

G.Wilson will have a greater impact then Turner, Henne, Carpenter and Wake at the minimum.

Solia ran 35 yards down the field with Ronnie Brown and seems to be in exceptional shape. He was dominant at times last week. This guy is slowly turning the corner
