No excuses.
Punter Matt Darr didn’t want any part of any rationalizing his fumbled snap that helped give the Jets a temporary lead late in Sunday’s game.
Darr said his initial thought was disbelief because it had never happened to him before, not in the NFL, not in college, “not even in practice,” he said.
There was one more “never, ever,” Darr attached to the whole situation.
“It’s never happened before and it won’t ever happen again,” he said.
The play gave the Jets the ball on the Miami 18. Two plays and 10 seconds later, New York led 23-20 on Ryan Fitzpatrick’s 18-yard touchdown pass to Jalin Marshall.

Darr has kicked us out of more ****ty situations than I can imagine. I have no beef with him.

even if we lost i wasnt gonna blame him, we had plenty of opportunities to bury the jets and didnt do it.

I believe he dropped a punt inside the 15 after that, can let that gaffe slide since it didn't result in a loss. If im Matt Darr this week im taking drake out to dinner for sure.

Darr is a solid punter, but he is no Reggie Roby.

It was such a huge error and I was literally trying to blame the inept offense for not moving the damn ball.

If anybody deserves a mulligan, it is him.

even if we lost i wasnt gonna blame him, we had plenty of opportunities to bury the jets and didnt do it.

Not gonna lie ... My drunk ass was yelling at the TV.

"Catch the damn ball!!!" :chuckle:

He's been very good for us but of course if we had lost the game everyone here would be blaming him the 2nd most after Tannehill of course

Ozzy rules!!

He is better than our Kicker Franksenstein. Even after this debacle.
Nice rebound Darr- hell of a recovery punt on the next series.
I was like here we go, typical Miami woes but then all hell broke loose and Dolphins were running all over the place.
Jay,Drake and Grant. Looked like there was free money in the end zone after that botch.

I just kept drinking beer the whole time all this was happening! Great day!

it probably will never happen again.. glad it happened in a win
