An instance where I agree with Mando. I've thought the idea of trading up in the first was relatively implausible from the start and pretty much completely so since we restructured Tannehill's contract. I think we are looking at a qb in the middle rounds exclusively unless we can trade back and pickup another 2nd round pick. We need at least two every down starters to come out of this draft.

I'm not so sure it makes since to draft a backup before round 4 if the staff believes RT is their guy. It just makes more sense to surround him with as much talent as possible. I'd rather not waste a pick on the next John Beck, Henne, White, or Heupel. Roll with Brock and RT or get someone with the potential to take this team all the way. I'm not sure we have that now after 6 seasons.

Overstating the OBVIOUS IMO.

Obviously we're in much better position to trade down than up (thanks again for all those meaningless wins!)

Point is -- moving forward -- if you're gonna win -- make it early and often as opposed to "meaningless."

Beyond that -- our fortunes are tied to Thill so -- draft accordingly -- while also addressing the basic FACT we need a quality developmental QB on the roster!!!

I don't believe in meaningless wins. I want my team to win any and ever possible game they can. But that could just be me.

You might not believe in Santa Claws either but ---- meaningless IS meaningless -- it's just superficial window dressing. Real teams win -- WHEN IT MATTERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It only makes sense to draft a phenom in first rd, get a new four year window, and take one QB off the board from the divisional rivals.
Otherwise, drafting a QB does not make sense in later rounds. We have backups on roster. There are bigger needs in later rounds.

Please leave Santa out of this. Everyone knows it's the Easter Bunny that really doesn't exist.

What I found to be the most interesting part of the article was Mando dropping the little nugget that the Dolphins are wide open at Offensive Tackle... Maybe Juwan James isn’t a lock to stay on the roster after all and MIA is still waiting to shop him for the right price

rule #1 never believe anything a team says leading up to the draft. Personally, I think they have no interest in a round 1 QB unless they get lucky and are wanting teams to trade up so a player falls to them.

I agree. We really need to get away from QB market this year and fill in holes. Its unlikely Mayfeild slides to #11. Buffalo has to much fire power. Best we sign Manziel and see what he can do. Brock has no future. He failed has a back up and starter. Manziel is turning heads and New England is all over it. Go get him fast.

I wouldn't say get away from it. I would like to take one in round 3 as the QB class next year looks very rough.

Don't see a huge difference in the QBs beyond the top 6 and the late round guys. I'd draft one late to groom as a backup and find our future starter in the first round next year.
