The NFL mandated first roster cut is due by all 32 teams tomorrow, Tuesday, at close of business. The Miami Dolphins are prepared to make their first hard decision of the 2011 season as they pare down the roster to that mandated number.

O.k., the reality is that the Dolphins have 81 players on their roster and after signing free agent four year veteran Safety Gerald Alexander yesterday, they are at 81. Simply put, there is no drama in a title that says, “Dolphins need to cut one”. Unless of course you are that one.

Yeah, I know who I'd cut......Doesn't take a DETECTIVE to figure that out.

This round of cuts will be relatively easy.
I am looking at it from the other point of view.
Can we get upgraded on OL and RB on Tuesday?

forgive me please. But what is so hard about cutting Columbo, Culver, John Jerry and Kevin O'Connell? Seems fairly easy. in fact let me do it

if getting down to 80 players is "hard cuts" point blank you must have an awful lof of bad football players in camp...thats all i can say

80 should be easy money...no brainer can't help me cuts

John jerry won't get cut imo

I agree....Jeff Ireland has a gift and a curse for not giving up on his questionable endeavors...(good Starks/bad P. Turner,P. White,S. Murphy the list goes on and on...)

These cuts are not tough. the final 53 will present interesting decisions at CB and WR.

i could probably make 20 or more even lock down roster cuts right now...i've seen enough to get this thing down to 60...right now

I would hold off on Jerry, he is still young and was a relatively high pick (3rd rd). We should give him a bit more time, but players like Colombo should be gone...I see Culver getting the axe since we basically signed his replacement today.

OMG! Why are they "giving serious consideration!?" They should just sign him and waste no time. They didnt need "Serious OCnsideration" with Columbo. They just went out and signed him.. So a worthy signee comes about and they stall. Grow a pair already!

i want to see what they pick up from other teams to help them out
