[h=2]The Dolphins plan to give perks to season-ticket holders such as entertainment discounts and invitations to draft and tailgate parties. The team also will have variable ticket pricing for the first time.[/h]

I saw the available packages the other day. Maybe finally Ross and Co gets it.

Don't they already do this?

I is confused.

Whats variable ticket pricing?

tickets will be priced based on demand and supply.

The fan packages are specified in different categories and have different offerings for levels (100, 400, Club).
It's 4 different packages (Finatic, Family, Social, Business) and each has different offerings for the 100, 400 and Club level.

It is much more elaborate than in the past and a chance to customize the fan experience for the season ticket holder.

Thanks for the info!

Seems like some smoke and mirrors to nickle and dime you for every "add-on". Much like the airlines. Start off by saying we offer a bare-bones ticket for waaaaaay cheap, then slowely bare-bones ticket becomes more expensive. Want some peanuts? ADD ON! Window seat? ADD ON!

Apply that to the stadium.

Aisle seat? ADD ON! Seat in the shade? ADD ON! Front row tailgate parking spot? ADD ON!

Not really. Those are free packages. And if you read the article for most the prices stayed the same and nearly 30% had or will have a price reduction.

So true-- after the last game the trash cans, floors & P/Lots were covered with Dolphin attire. They need to assemble a winning team and fast, Birds don't pay...
They need to worry about people buying even a single game ticket, first.

I agree. But season ticket holders are important to any sports franchise. Years of literally having no benefit to be a season ticket holder and yearly increases in spite of having nothing combined with a mediocre or below mediocre franchise got us to where we are now. After being a season ticket holder for decades I decided to dump my tix this year. But having removed Ireland and Sherman solved my first requirement to remain a season ticket holder. My other requirement was additional benefits for being a season ticket holder. If we suck we might as well get something out of it.
Two items on my wish list were fulfilled.

The third item is a winning franchise which we hopefully are working on. If they can hold the current season ticket holder base and add a few more the changes were a success. The rest will be winning games.

The variable ticket pricing should be good for individual ticket sales as well.

Soooo, exactly how much is a season ticket this coming year? I can't even tell from the website. Have they not released the total price yet?

Are you a ticket salesman or what?

These are great offers though. If I can get a decent pair of tickets for $500 I'm in.
