``We knew we were playing against them and the refs,'' Davis said.

``You've got to overcome stuff like that. That's tough. When you've got to play against them and the refs, you can't make the game any closer. You knew that.''

Specifically, Davis seemed most frustrated by a push-off by Owens on a 51-yard touchdown pass in the fourth quarter. The rookie said he did not want to elaborate on whether he felt it was offensive interference, adding that he doesn't expect to get calls in a situation like that.

``He did what he did,'' Davis said. ``He's a veteran, you know. I tried to cover him the best way I can. I knew I ain't getting no calls, fighting for position. That's the way it goes. That's T.O. I'm pretty sure they're not going to call anything on T.O.

``I've got nothing to say about that.''

Watch the play again.. TO didn't just push off once, he pushed off twice on that TD pass against Vontae.

Push offs happen all the time. Vontae needs to find a way to deal with it.

I know how, when he pushes off, take the arm in an arm bar drag him down and bend his elbow in reverse on his knee. That will be worth 15 every time!

What Vontae is complaining about happens all the time in the NFL. There's almost always pushoffs and battleing within the 1st 5 yards of the LOS. He's a rookie and is going to have to deal with it because of not, he's going to get burned like that all the time in one-on-one situations.

Vontae definitely got schooled on the superstar rule yesterday.

the rules are made so the nfl can have more scoring in turn to get better ratings . the nfl has changed so much with all these penalties and rules favoring the qb's it's no longer defense and running games that win championships its the passing games.

regardless, i think pass interference calls should be challengeable...

I was to furious to watch the replay. It was like a ****ing mad house at the game yesterday. It was calm until that ****ing TD pass then I knew I was a sitting duck.

Now that I think back to it I do recall Davis running stride for stride and then T.O magically breaking away from him. Must've been the push off I was thinking about.

It was, but you do not get every call. We got the call last year on Brandon Marshall pushing off Jason Allen. You win some and you lose some.

More realistically, they should be treated like a facemask penalty. There should be flagrant and incidental types.
The flagrant PI's would result in placing the ball at the spot of the foul and incidental PI's should be 5 yr penalties.
An incidental contact on a deep ball should not result in a 50+ yd penalty.
