A few jobs may be won or lost Thursday night in Atlanta

It’s fairly easy to identify about 46 Miami Dolphins who, barring something totally unexpected, will be on the finalized 53-man roster by the end of Saturday.

But it’s those final seven spots that are still worthy of discussion. It seems unlikely the Dolphins will cut any highly-paid, big-name veterans in a salary cap play. But there are a few spots worth monitoring.

Let’s say for arguments sake, that those final seven spots will come from a group of 14 players. Let’s take a look at each of those battles. Because these guys are about the only reason worth watching Thursday:

What a disaster that Carroo trade / pick was Jesus Christ. Just cut him so I can stop being reminded of it. I don't know why but that one really bothers me...maybe even more than Dion.

I really hope Lippett shows enough athleticism and recovery from last year’s injury to make it. I think he’s got the mental aspect of his position down better than any DB on the bubble and his approach showed in 2016. It’s be a huge relief to have him back to full speed.

Especially when you consider LeVeon Bell and Travis Kelce were still on the board when Miami would have picked 42nd. :trump:

If Brock Osweiler isn’t one of the first cuts I may have a coronary.

Wow so was the honey badger. Not like we would have drafted any of them anyway. Probably would have taken Jamar Taylor earlier.

The team won’t say it publicly but I’d say they are disappointed in the return of tank and Raekwon to date.

Well they might say it with tank.

You mean Lipp of course. They're disappointed in Tank too, but not for a return from injury. He doesn't have an excuse.

we're just looking for ST's players at this point. Other than the back up QB which if he has to play we're done anyway.
