Wow! Omars taking it there? Also i hope he thanked CK for the vid

...Really Omar?

Apparently he was just watching our boards, so the two Hartline (and Bess in one) threads and figured, hey look an article! But to play that card... wow.

Good for Omar. 75 percent of you bitch about whatever he says, so he might as well say whatever he wants.

Well...not quite. He asked me if I could come up with a Hartline video yesterday and it's something I'd already been meaning to do so I went ahead and did it, posted it on Twitter, and he wrote his blog piece about it.

Yes, we hate Hartline because he's white, not because he's a #4 WR at best with a combined 2 TD's the last 2 seasons.

This really really pisses me off. Right, Brian Hartline isn't thought of as a legit #1 WR because he's white. Of course. It has nothing to do with his complete inability to get yards after the catch or get into the end zone. What a ****ing joke. If the guy ever showed me he could be anything beyond BORDERLINE STARTER, I wouldn't care if he was purple. This is pure garbage by Omar.
New low.

Remember how awesome Ted Ginn Jr looked in his highlight tapes coming out of Ohio St? Yeah, me too.

Number 4 WR? There are very few teams were he is the number 4 receiver. You need to forget the stats and watch him play.

you're seriously comparing hightlight films from college to a guy who has had some success in the nfl?

He is a solid starter, and you think he is borderline. Omar is speculating why reasonable people have blinders on about the skills demonstrated consistently by Hartline. Either people are too dependent upon stats, or they are not fairly judging Hartline. While I stipulate that some people seem married to stats, it is not everyone who misjudged Hartline. Why do you think you come up with the wrong evaluation?

My point is that everybody looks like a beast in highlight tapes. It's not a fair way to evaluate somebody, obviously.

I don't know what your definition of "success" is either, but you must have pretty low standards. I don't really consider 500 yards and 1 TD to be successful.

Wait, and Marshall was supposed to be an elite WR but could only manage 9 tds in 30 games started....Hartline has 4 TDs in 24 started...Not much of a difference, considering he was always the second or third option...could it be our offensive scheme or the piss poor play of our QBs or our putrid OL that caused weak TD production from our WRs...

Nah...makes too much sense...
