Guess we can say that any more....
Actually, I was thinking about the very same thing; As someone who has long contended that the league gives the zebras directives on which teams they would like to see them rule for if not too obvious (which too often it has been against us), usually based on ratings and ad dollars from major media markets and compelling story lines.
Well we have become a compelling story line in a few different ways, have captured the public's interest, maybe even have activated the "Lebron" hate effect where teams will be rooting against us in the playoffs. Maybe now we'll start getting that same call we didn't get against the Ravens that moved the jets into makeable FG range, some more PIs we deserve and no calls on phantom PIs that swing the game around. While we're not a major market, "America's team," or have Goodell interning for, or being in our owner's pocket, no bout adout it, we are now a compelling, interest-holding story, fersure
Who knows, maybe Wake will start getting half the holds on him actually called :idk:.

You know how it works Vaark, whether its good or bad publicity - the important thing is that you are being talked about and relevant. I would love all the fans to hate us how they hate the Heat. At the same time, we better win to make that hatred intensified. If we dont win, then we will really be a laughing stock.
Exactly, the funny thing is that most people wont remember why we were being talked about in a year; however, that cognitive imprinting has already been placed on their collective preconcious. In a year or two we are more popular....as long as we keep winning.
Miami football has been snubbed by the national media, and that hasn't changed. We are in the thick of the playoff hunt and we get no respect. If we win tonight we can change the hearts and minds of our players and our coaches, and maybe some of the media. It's all on us.

Truth be told, this whole incident may have been the best thing to ever happen to Miami Dolphins football.
Whether the media, general public, or opposing fans know it or not they might have just woken a sleeping giant.
Time to make the world recognize.
The sleeping GIANT falls asleep at the wrong time. Saint prime time was the worst time to start the losing streak. Letting Buffalo pile on was even worse. I think Mckinney addition was a game too late but with a win against the Bucs we are in the drivers again.
