Apparently reading from the Titans-rams game, Vince Young did not return in the second half because of a hamstring injury. Young has done better passing this season and I'd rather miami playing collins than young at this point. And even if young does play next week, there's a chance that he most likely won't be able to run around and scramble like he can or that will slow him down and if he plays he will more likely play in the pocket, because of the injury.

This is definitely a plus for miami, because for some reason, qbs that can scramble have given miami problems times before, so the injury to young will probably hamper his speed and scrambling. Obviously the main goal is to slow down Chris Johnson, but Young's scrambling is also a threat and that being hampered should help Cameron Wake and others to tee off better on Young or definitely if collins is in, who is not mobile at all. *I do not wish or hope injury to any player*, just stating a something as a result of a game earlier and how it could benefit miami.

I'd much rather have the ancient and immobile Kerry Collins under center than the always dangerous Young. Collins looked completely lost through the first 6 games of the season; I don't expect he'd be much better after sitting for these last few months.

Even if Young does play, the hamstring could limit his mobility which would benefit our pass rush.

With that being said the Dolphins must slow down Chris Johnson to be affective...

...congratulations, you have just restated the exact same thing as the OP.

I think the bigger plus is that Miami comes off a game where we turned the ball over and did not play particularly well, where the Titans come off a game where EVERYTHING clicked and they're going to come off really confident.

Vince Young or Kerry Collins, the Titans are clicking. They won a LOT of games last year with Kerry Collins throwing the ball. They dropped a ton of points today with Kerry Collins in at QB.

The Vince Young injury is in itself not a huge positive and actually I kind of hope he plays next week. That's just a hunch but the last time Vince started a game, he lost. They were up 14-0 when he went out this time but the Rams were ridiculously inept on offense and I wonder if losing as a starter last week wasn't sort of a sign that good teams are catching up to Vince's game. By putting Collins back in when things are running so smoothly on offense, I wonder if that could keep everyone, Dolphins included, on their toes enough to keep Chris Johnson going, the offense rolling, the defense confident and the team winning.

If Vince comes back, that could throw a monkey wrench in that, especially if he's hurt.

Again, just a hunch.

But I do think something that works in our favor would be that they come off such a big blowout and we come off such a challenged win. That could swing in our favor especially if Vince comes back IMO.

I am not convinced that Vince Young really is that good of a QB. CK brought up a good point that Young looked average last week at the Colts and was playing against a ridiculously bad Rams team today. In his 6 games back, Johnson is the reason they are winning, not Young. Additionally, as stated above, defenses are catching up to Young's game.

Stopping Johnson is obviously the key and the run defense seems to have gotten back in to the groove they were in the first part of the season.

The Rams are easily the NFL's worst team. How could there be any discussion.

A rookie from Division 2 at QB. A parapalegic RB out there toughing out. The Rams are beyond bad, they are a travesty,a tradgedy, and a catastrophy.

I'd rather have a limited Vince Young. He's not a pocket passer and if he is limited in his scrambling ability, he will become the Miami Dolphins version of Daunte Culpepper.
Collins is a better pocket passer

i would rather play Collins... ive watched some of Young's games this year since he took over, his accuracy has amazed me, literally blew me away... his deep balls have been amazingly on target...

id rather play Collins than even a banged up Young, and it has nothing to do with mobility, Young is passing the ball 10x better than Collins this season

This makes it sound like the injury is not a big deal. This will be an important game for them and I'm pretty sure he will be good to go. We'll have our hands full.

He could be good to go, but that doesn't mean there won't be some effect on his mobility from the hamstring, meaning he can play or will play, but not have the speed and burst that he originally has without the injury.

Does not matter who is the QB the fact that Vince Young got hurt may be a reason to play harder. The QB the can be John Beck for all i care. With Chris Johnson on the team we are going to be in a lot of trouble if our defense does not play like they have and then some. Chris Collins did fine with them last year and just cause he did do so hot this year does not mean anything. Plus their defense that does not look to bad and are good enough to stop our hurt offense. There are no breaks here this is like another playoff game for Miami.

The key to stopping the Titans is stopping Chris Johnson....I don't care who is at QB, whether it be Collins or Young
