I know everyone heres been hearing all the trade rumors about the Heat/Suns involving Amrie Stoudamire. I love Stoudamire and would love to see him a Miami Heat but I dont like the idea of involving Beasley in the trade. Wade, Haslem, Beasley, Cook and Chalmers are the players I want on lock.

Any thoughts?

i agree, beasley has a bright future, and is showing shades of a good all around player, amare lacks defense, i like the trade that is going to bring us jermaine o'neal better at least there we get scoring and some mad defensive presence in the middle

Don't part with Beasley for Stoudemire. If anyone, I'd trade Chalmers, Haslem and anyone not Wade or Beasley

lol Chalmers and Wade are untouchable. We'd like to keep Beas, but for the right price he could be on the table. Marion/Haslem are expendable if we get good value in return.

So we're looking to upgrade, either with Bosh, Stoudemire, or J. O'Neal.

Anyone works for me, but I'm a little torn on J. O'Neal, dude's a walking MASH unit.

you cant have five guys untouchable and hope to make a trade. phoenix isn't going to give us amare for marcus banks, chris quinn and mark blount.

Stoudemire doesn't play alot of D, but then neither does Beasley.

You've got to give talent to get talent.

I'm just saying between Chalmers and Beasley, I'd keep Beasley

I'd rather move Marion for a draft pick if that's feasible. Honestly, I don't want too mortgage the future for Amare Stoudamire. If Miami wants a big they'll get Chris Bosh 2010.

amare is 26 years old and acutally younger than wade. the heat would still have "the future" in mind. also, for his bad defense, it's a lot better than beasley's defense.

I don't know about that. Chalmers is definately the better player right now, but one could make the argument that Beasley has a higher ceiling. I wouldn't want to trade either, but if we had to and we could get a proven player like Bosh i'd do it. We'd still have Haslem at PF. If we traded Chalmers we'd downgrade the PG position greatly and that's not something we want to do.

Marion is expiring, we're desperate to get rid of him, if not we're gonna let him go for nothing in return anyway. He's got a 'Shaq' contract, and apparently that's what he thinks he's worth. But I know there are rebuilding teams who will take him for that expiring salary.

As for Bosh in 2010. We got enough to worry about making sure our own star stays home in '10. The way I see it, if we could get them both here now and be serious contenders neither of them would want to leave.

It's really too bad they traded Livingston.

They never really traded Livingston. All they did was pay him without having it count against the luxury tax. If the Heat want to bring him back hes still in Miami rehabbing. In the limited time he played he didn't look very good, so I'm guessing they'll wait till next year to give him another shot.

Riley would love to trade Marion if it means getting a better player in return. But I wouldn't say hes desperate to consummate a deal. Marion isn't going to have many options in the offseason and noone will give him the salary he wants via FA so hes still going to be an asset for the Heat to offer up via sign and trade.
