Ther have been A LOT of different trade scenarios thrown out there (Bulls, Raptors, Jazz, Grizzlies, T-Wolves), for teams wanting the Heat`s No2.
Now, with Miami, not ghaving a 2nd rounder, or a 2009 1st, would you consider it? And which option?

I would NEVER consider trading out of the #2 spot... unless it was to trade in to the #1 spot.

So, moving on to the trade options we will have without moving from #2, I think if we end up with Beasley instead of Rose... TJ Ford is the most enticing option at PG.

Toronto could use Haslem, and we could use Ford.

Kirk would also be a good option, but the trade would require more creativity... most likely involving a 3rd team... since the Bulls dont need a guy like Haslem...

How `bout remaining in the top 5, for a chance to recover a pick or two, and get Lopez, Mayo, or Blayless? It wouldn`t be my first option, as Rose and Beasley are ahead of the rest, I just think that the Heat are not 1 player away from the playoffs, and if our choice doesn`t present a solution, and with our thin draft situation afterwards, a trade down is not out of the question

if they trade, they have to be able to pick up mayo if they want to have a future with this team...he has star ability, after him, its just good players

I dont see any value in the picks after the top 2. After that, its practically impossible to predict who will be good or not.

If it was football, absolutly... but the basketball draft is completely different IMO...

In basketball, 1 player makes MUCH more of a difference. 1 star player makes much more of an impact than 2 good players...

God no way I trade out of this years #2 pick. Rose, Beasley... enough said! One of those guys can make up for a lack of draft picks.

I'm not even a Heat fan like that and I even think they shouldn't trade out of the top 2 . . . c'mon . . . Rose is gonna be a STUD PG . . . and Beasley is like 6'10 with handles, big time rebound ability and can hit the 3 . . . those guys don't grow on trees . . . they would be silly to trade out of the top 2 . . . they should only trade up if they really want Rose and if that is who Chicago wants.

I think ALOT of teams like Beasley tho . . . and that will be a hot bed . . . the trade would have to blow the Heat away for them to accept it.

We keep Beasley if Beasley is the one who falls at #2.

With Beasley at the 4, Marion at the 3, we can afford having an undersized center in Haslem at the 5. This easily makes us a top rebounding team in the league (Haslem averages around 9 per game, Marion about 8 or 9 and Beasley averages 12 in college), which will push Orlando back behind us again since they lack rebounding and the division will be ours.

Not to mention how much of an offensive threat Beasley is and with Wade next to him, it will be one exciting team.

I'd love to see Beasley in a Heat uni, but there are questions that will arise if he is the pick. Three undersized forwards is probably one too many. I don't think you're going to see a 6'8 235 lb guy playing center in this league, especially one who doesn't create any mismatches on the offensive end.

Despite the problems the pick would create, I have a hard time believing Riley would pass on Beasley. If there was a Garnett out there for the taking I could envision a trade but we seem to be fresh out of superstar big men on lousy teams looking to move on. Even if the Clippers tried to pull off a sign and trade with Brand I don't know how the salaries would work out.

Of the teams you listed above the only team with the only player worth trading the #2 for is Bosh. Not happening.

So the Heat are going to trade Wade to move up 1 spot in the draft? Is Isaiah the new GM over there? Not buying this one
