I dont think Peyton called for this. Ross took Philbin and the other guy for the HC spot and interviewed them away from Miami and the media. They went to NYC.

let me rephrase that then. They probly went to NYC to some high rise on some odd number floor to a conference room where only the secretary knows and she will lose her job should it get out.

But maybe they are just in Boca or somewhere close. But I clearly read "not local"

According to ESPN's Chris Mortensen, free agent Peyton Manning met with coach Joe Philbin and other members of the Dolphins brass for 5-6 hours on Monday.

Interestingly enough, the meeting took place in Indianapolis, not Florida. The Miami Herald suggested GM Jeff Ireland and coordinator Mike Sherman were likely along for the ride, though owner Stephen Ross wasn't believed to be involved. Manning's next visit is with Titans coach Mike Munchak.
