We know the Dolphins love Auburn linebacker/defensive end Quentin Groves (pictured). He's the guy I believe the team will take with No. 32, if he is available. They also like Auburn DT Pat Sims as a second-round pick. Another possible second round pick is Penn State inside linebacker Dan Connor who is a little light for the 3-4 at 230 pounds, but could easily add some bulk.

Sims has good bulk and he is VERY explosive off the ball which typically makes him a disruptive force when he can disengage from the center. Keep your eyes on him when the Dolphins are picking in the second round.

I realize the Dolphins are telling everyone Vernon Carey is going to right tackle. But the fact of the matter is the previous regime finished last season convinced Carey is best suited for a guard position. I don't know if this regime shares that idea but I do know the Dolphins really like Toledo offensive tackle John Greco.

Greco has drawn interest from numerous clubs over the past few months, including formal interviews at the Combine with San Diego, Miami, Dallas, Arizona, St. Louis, Detroit and Indianapolis. The Colts and Miami were also prominent among the teams that were looking at him recently. Greco seems like a perfect right tackle candidate.

[Thursday evening update] I continue to be told that even though there is much fanfare about the possibility the Dolphins will take Joe Flacco, it just doesn't seem to be the thing the team will do. Flacco does indeed have a great arm and potential. But he is erratic with his delivery and his footwork is atrocious. Part of the problem is he spent most of his career in a shotgun offense and that hurts because he not only has to straighten out the footwork, he has to correct the problem of taking snaps from center which he displayed at the Senior Bowl. Also, this guy didn't beat out Tyler Palko at Pitt! The Dolphins haven't really been calling him or his agent, so I just don't see the connection to him. Another thing: He seems a value in the third round but not any earlier.

I want Greco at the 2b pick. If we trade Taylor and get a earlier 2nd back then take Greco there.

I mentioned in another thread, that I have the same feeling about Greco that I had about Olin Kreutz when he was drafted in the 3rd round . i just knew he would be a pro bowl lineman. Greco just has that professional look about him. i don't know what you call it, I guess people say the "it factor".. Whatever it is I really like John Greco alot.

When I watch Shuening for instance, he doesn't give me nearly the same feeling. Greco is far superior to Schuening IMO.

If we were to send Carey to LG . . . the running game to the left would be AMAZING. I would rank that left side 2nd in the run game only to Minny.

Although I do like Schuenig as a pure guard I think Parcells is more focused on Greco because of his swingman ability to play Tackle or Guard. Having versatile lineman comes in real handy if injuries start to mount.

I would be very very excited if we got another OL that early in the draft. What a line that would be. If we can get Groves, then Greco, I am flipping out.

Armando don't know BO...if I didn't know any better I'd say he was working for the Dolphins, spreading mis-information...or worse...he's throwing darts.

Parcells hates the press...but he'll use them...and then laugh.

Which parts do you disagree with?

Which parts do you disagree with?

I disagree with the whole purpose of the article...he makes it sound like he's giving you inside information...but is he?
He's guessing like all of us...how many figured that the Dolphins had some interest in Groves...Sims? Every player he mentions has been mentioned here along time ago.
He mentions that the Dolphins don't have any interest in Flacco....yet he was the first player they interviewed...obviously they have some interest in him. He claims that they haven't had communication with either him or his agent...what a shock! First why would they...they don't have to talk to him or his agent until draft day and after...the only player they are allowed to talk contract with...they already signed...and if you really had interest in a player...are you going to announce it...beforehand? As far as Sims...when the Dolphins brought him in late...even I wrote...watch him...Parcells has a history of drafting players...that way...is it a lock...heck no...but Parcells is a person of habit.
Sometimes it's the player you don't see coming...that teams go after...and neither I or Armando know...who they are.

I would not mind at all to see the phins take another tackle at any of the second round picks. If Gosder Cherilus is there lets pick him up or if they think some1 like Sam Baker. I love quentin Groves, but anytime someone has heart surgery, i cant see how that can be minor. Also Beau Bell in the third would be great

But maybe Armando, is making the same analogy and looking at the trends that fishy pete is as well. Or perhaps, Armando is surfing the net, perhaps even finheaven, and finds info and logical analogies and prints them as his own. And I am sincere about this, it is great information, on this website.

Run Ronnie. Run Ricky. Repeat. (1000 yds plus for each?)

Then Beck can keep the D honest with some downfield throws. I'm getting excited for September.
