Miami is 3-3. New England is 6-0. And we're playing them in prime time in Foxboro.

I've never been good at math, but if Miami is at 3-4 and New England is at 7-0 after tomorrow night, then the odds are really against us being in the playoffs.

We already have the interim head coach = no playoffs cabash to deal with.

These will be tormented hours for me and many others waiting for this game to start.

My prediction? A Miami blow-out of New England. We have Matthews, Parker, and Landry all playing at a very high level...and RT coming off a record breaking pass completion performance. Tanny likes to throw short, but these receivers like to run after the catch.

I expect Miami to light up the scoreboard...sending the NFL analysts into a tizzy.

Actually, we are in a good spot playoff wise regardless win or lose.

how on earth is playing the best team in the NFL, away from home, on a short week a "must win"

I dont see how any of those have anything to do with a must win situation? If the same scenario you listed was week 15, it definitely could be a must win situation.

Division is a looooooooong shot win or lose. Especially with AFC east playing NFC east and AFC South. Can one envision NE or the Jets for that matter losing to any of these 8 mostly horrid teams? If the Pats go 7-1 between the 2 I'd be surprised. How can we possibly catch up? It's wildcard (most likely last spot) or bust. That's the way I see it anyway

We are not competing with the Patriots for a playoff spot...they pretty much have the East locked up....

We are competing against the likes of the Jets, Raiders, Steelers and others for a wild card spot...

Of coarse we want to win every game, but a loss isn't overly detrimental...

it isnt week 15 though, the hardest game on our schedule is not the "must win"

Every loss from this point forward hurts. Particularly because it looks like the Jets will be competing for a wild card spot. If this game isn't a must-win, it is pretty damn close.

Nothing is locked up after 6 games....I do think this is a must win if hopes of somehow winning this division is plausible....which should always be the goal, regardless of some fans perceptions of New england's invincibility.

There is no reason to not be confident in the prospects for this team....this is why they play the games...nothing is predetermined.

Patriots is not a must win...the Bills game the following week is.

Right, this is not a must win game.

They MUST BEAT the jests and bills, and then they MUST beat the pats when they play in Miami.

I would be incredibly sweet if they pull out a victory, but contrary to what the m0r0ns in the local press may think it is not a must win game.

Again...it is in regards to possibly winning the division...its not in the wildcard hunt.

Even if we were to run the table and finish 13-3 (highly unlikely) and we give the Pats two losses...who else is going to beat the Pats? I don't see anyone on their schedule giving them a loss...they'll finish 14-2 and still win the division. This is about the wild card.

This is must win because we have dominated sucky teams. If we fail against a very good team, then what we have done will be looked back on as what everyone said. That Miami can beat bad teams but still cannot play with the big dogs.

My biggest concern is if NE gets an early lead, or get a pick 6, something that fuels their game, how do these new Dolphins respond? NE will make plays, under Philbin we seemed to get down with ourselves and play losing ball. I want to see Dan get these guys angry if something like that happens. Play angry for 60 minutes!
