4 way tie after next week? After 1 quarter of the season it looks very possible everyone is 2-2. Jets play Indy and the Pats play Cincy. Buffalo does play Minny, so they may be a lone 1-3 though. You would think with another 4 games under his belt Daunte shouldnt have any excuses. I think if Daunte fails to play well against New England, that could be time Saban would pull him in favor of Joey. Thoughts? :dolphins:

I was thinking about this on the way to work tomorrow. I fully expect everyone in the AFC East to be 2-2 after Sunday.

That would be remarkable considering how poorly we've played up til now. Regardless, the games that really will count are the 2 remaining with NE, 2 with NYJ and one with Buff. If we can take care of our own and not lose too many of those, the rest will take care of itself. They have to work out the bugs next week, because after that, it starts getting tough !

You made sense until this comment. Daunte made improvement yesterday...let him continue.

and what about Daunte? Do you think that game will be his real judgmental game?

Bills will not beat the Vikings. Therefore, they'll be in last by themselves.

Even better

I disagree, Miami got a W, but Daunte is not playing well enough, that is what I am saying. I think Saban figures ok, we got Tennessee and Houston, lets Daunte work it out these 2 games and then the true test will be against NE

This is very likely ... well, likely at least, not necessesarily "very" based on our past performances.

What I'm more worried about is what happens after that! Great, we're 2-2 after an 0-2 start. Now we go to NE and NY on the road, both of which I'm sure will be tough.

We have a chance to get our act together before hand. Pepper needs a big breakout day next week, otherwise I would seriously consider starting Joey. I'm not one of those "Start Joey Start Joey" fanatics either. I just think Pepper is struggling to come back both mentally and physically right now, and he may need some more time on the bench to get things together until he's ready to be the old Pepper. Right now, he's just not himself!

this game coming up against Houston? No, not yet. I think he plays better. But when we go to New England and then New York, we will be able to judge him better.

Yes, we all made progress from first to second grade - but we weren't exactly ready for middle school in second grade!

I meant after the NE game, read my original post:dolphins:

My thoughts too, and I'm glad you posted this so I didn't have to. I think we may have 1 more crappy game against a Texans team bad enough to be able to err, and still win. I pray that we will gain cohesion by the time we goto New England, after a month of the regular season, and can play winning Football up there.
