In a deep draft like this, I just don't think it makes sense to sign the top free agent RB, when Parcells has a history of finding RB talent.

Mendenhall will go in the top 20. He's the second-rated running back (behind D-Mac)

Maybe it is just a show or I think you guys call it a smoke screen:

It's to give other teams the idea that we might draft McFadden. That's the only reason why I can see us "pursuing" an Turner.

Parcells likes having multiple rbs capable of starting. Whether it be ronnie and ricky or ronnie and someone else, I love what he is doing regardless of his intentions.

At the very least, it may drive up the price for turner so someone else has to pay more for him. Or it will make the league think that we are interested in another starting rb so come draft day, Dallas will hand over their #22 and #28 picks and maybe next years 1st round pick.

But as much as I think Turner could be a very valuable asset for us, there is no way we sign him. He is already looking for a blockbuster deal and this would completely ruin any leverage we have with our #1 pick.
