Guys and girls, I know that this loss hurts, but take hope from a statement that someone told me:

Don't get too high after a win. And don't get too low after a loss. Build on what was -- good or bad. And build a winner.

Many of us could see a nightmare matchup, what with the OL totally new and missing its center -- against the best DL in football. AND with the LB corps the walking wounded and a journeyman LB in the middle, against one of the best RB, TE and WR groups in the NFL.

Miami is better than last year and has yet to gel as offense, OL and D.

Don't get too low. Keep your inner balance. And move on.

Fight another day!

"Better" doesn't mean "Good"...I want "Good", not "Better"...

Is it me, or do we keep hearing these same posts year after year after year. After two games, what evidence suggests we are better than last year? Tannehill has regressed.

Same thread after 15 years...stop accepting mediocre football.

Trust me. I'm not accepting mediocre football.

I'm someone that's been calling for playmakers -- begging, screaming for them for the last three years. Other people are really happy w. the Hartlines, Besses, Clays, Sims, Millers, Thomases -- not me. I've been begging for upgrades at skill positions.

ALL I'm saying is that the hand we are dealt is the hand we have to play. So suck it up and play.

Crying doesn't help. No becoming drama queens.

I just want a damn qb that can make NFL throws and receivers who can catch. Is that too much to ask for? 14 years without a legit qb starts to wear on you....

You could say regressed.

However, I choose to say, "Still not comfortable in this new offense." A complex offense that will maximize skill at skill positions, given the chance.

Personally, I believe it's gonna take at least two, maybe three years of REAL NFL drafts to make up for the team-killing drafts and terrible talent eye of Ireland.

Teams like Buffalo are stocked w. 1st, 2nd, and 3rd round picks all across the skill positions.

Miami's 1st, 2nd, and 3rd round picks are pretty much either on the bench or out of the league, or still trying to "develop."

They guy can't throw a ****ing bubble screen correctly! This isn't a "still not comfortable with the offense" type problem...

I don't think we are better. We are more talented. If I can sidestep the Ryan Tannehill discussion that is ongoing in 37 different threads right now, here is how I see it:

This team has a very disturbing trend of coming out flat after big wins under Joe Philbin. A very disturbing trend, especially in division games. I see a team that comes out flat, comes out listless, comes out completely lacking in emotion and intensity, and simply can't find it regardless of what happens in the game. They start making mistakes and they just seem to give up or go into a turtle shell.

Anyone remember when the Titans whomped us 37-3? Anyone remember when we closed out 2012 being shut out by the Patriots? Everyone remembers the last two games of 2013. It is simple to offer up the quarterback as the sacrificial lamb because he was not good in those games, but do you REALLY think one player is the sole reason this team comes out completely flat and stays that way for multiple games each season? Did you see ANYONE but Mike Wallace fired up for the Dolphins today? Maybe Jared Odrick?

Do you really feel that was Miami's best effort on the field today? Do you think it was even close? Do you think Joe Philbin consistently gets good effort out of his players?

we have good wrs. We need better QB play. Tannehill is an avg qb to me. Close to backup quality. And I say this because theres no noticeable leadership skills, inconsistent play. He has no personality almost henne like. He seems to say what he is told and doesn't speak what he truly feels. When pennington was here I was a huge fan of that guy. First day he came here guys noticed a change. WR's caught everything. Its not the wrs. its the qb. Our oline is not the best but tannehill holds onto the ball way too long, indecisive under pressure and is inaccurate consistently. That makes the oline look even worst.. You can't hold blocks forever. Tannehill has his moments but we don't need moments anymore..we need consistency.

No.

No.

And No.

I agree w. everything you said. But I still see the team as "better" from a talent standpoint.

Which gives some hope that I didn't have last year -- that if the talent gels and offense adapts to scheme, Miami will be better than 8-8.

Your on to something and I think the same thing. At times it looks like your team does not want to play for him.

I hate Marrone as a coach right now and how he coaches games but I can say one thing since he has been here it seems the team wants to play for him.

I see alot of Dick Jueron in Philbin good guy but uninspiring at times

The Moreno injury really derailed the game plan. Not making excuses, a lot of bad plays and no shows from our "stars", but I really just think most of it was losing Moreno and the bills room advantage of the middle of the field. Plus our d got no pressure all game long. How disappointing after such a big win last week to **** the bed this week. But I can't say I didn't see it coming!
