OH boy! here we go again...

When Bill Lazor came from the Philadelphia Eagles to become the offensive coordinator of the Dolphins many football gambling fans expected him to bring over Chip Kelly’s high-octane, hurry-up offense. However, that never happened. Instead, Miami was there usual pedestrian pace offense that constantly utilized the huddle. With a new coaching regime in town, there is new hope, and new Offensive Coordinator Clyde Christensen has already stated that his goal is to have an aggressive, no-huddle type offense.

How about just fixing the ****ing OLine first??

Seriously? Right now Miami can't sign any FA's or draft an O-Line, so I guess they shouldn't start planning for the type of offense they want to run? Some of you guys are unbelievable.

I listened to the new OC's presser and he forgot to mention running the ball. He's had Manning and Luck at QB so we will be passing.
On the other hand Chicago under Gase was run first and I believe led the league in time of possession.

Like you say Fisi none of this will works until the O line is fixed.

I think their point was Lazor always preached an up tempo offense but it never materialized.

Lazor implemented a scheme where short behind the sticks passing was supposed to replace a traditional running game. Never developed. It's why Lamar was underutilized and Landry was beat up in easily sniffed out WR screens. I can't imagine Gase is going to incorporate such tactics, particularly since he adapts his scheme to his players and not vice versa like Lazor who restricted his players input.

Agree. Have to get a strategy in place then get pieces for the chess board so to speak.

I would like to see an up tempo offense.....as long as it can move the ball consistently. If not, we are just putting more pressure on our defense.

Like I posted earlier Chicago was right at the top in time of possession last year. That's the opposite of up tempo. More keep the ball , control the clock and hope your rested defense plays well and generates turnovers.

Christensen said agressive, no-huddle. Doesn't have to mean the tempo is necessarily much faster, could also mean you just aren't huddling and letting the D sub. Look at Rodgers to see how this can screw a D over.

When we get an Oline that can work together and protect Ryan I would like to see more two minute offenses to keep opposing offenses on there heals and limit there substitutions so the offense is at an advantage.

Lazor isn't the only one to blame.. In 2012 when Phailbin became HC his claim to fame was the high tempo offense. We never saw it.
