Miami opens as 6-7 point underdog

I guessed we'd be about 7 point underdogs earlier this week. I guess that's about right.

We've surpised a few teams this season, why not do it again to close the season against the defending champs? :) :dolphins:

Yeah we were 14 pt underdogs to SD how did that work, would have won by 9 if we didnt play prevent.

Hmm, 6 or 7 point underdog at New England, in January, sounds about right. The real question is, "Will they play their starters?" I think they will play their starters a little but not the whole game. Yes, we can knock them out of 3rd but I think they'd rather face Jacksonville than Pittsburgh and I think that KC and SD will win and KC won't make it. If NE doesn't play their starters their whole game (they could the Bruschi injury as an excuse), I think that we will win. Finish 9-7, on a 6 game winning streak, 3-3 in the AFC East.

Whoa. This line is extremely volatile. Almost no one has it up. The few places that are booking the game now have it circled or double circled, meaning extremely limited wagering limits. The sharp places are holding off on posting this line and the head consulting firm has not released an official number. The places that do have it up are doing it on their own, basically guessing using base power ratings. Those power ratings may not apply at all in this instance, given New England's questionable motivation and lineup.

We should break out the orange uniforms and beat the Pats just like last year....it would be a nice way to start off New Years. :)

I expected it to be closer to 10 points than 7 provided that NE isn't expected to take their foot off the gas. I don't see any real reason not to expect NE's best...
you won't see too many 10 point spreads over teams that have won 5 straight
