Yes, I know he could get hurt. But he may never play for us again. So this way he stays in "playing" shape and hopefully will add some value to his trade ability for next year. Just a thought...

The Dolphins have absolutely nothing to gain by letting him play in the CFL. Not one thing.

And I don't want to hear about staying in "football shape". He came back just fine after taking a year off last year.

If he would be MVP of the League, that would help his trade value.

I agree. At the least it'll keep his mind occupied and away from the sticky ick icky

He can come up here and play in the CFL and do very well, but what I wonder about is whether or not the NFL would look at it next year when he applies for reinstatement and use the fact that he can gain a healthy salary playing football in Canada as a reason to deny him re-entry into the NFL.

Absolutely....

It will only help us in the long haul. Ricky will stay in football shape, and it will also boost his trade value{if Saban wants to trade him}. It's a no lose situation for us in my opinion....

PHINZ RULE!!!!

It isn't just about Ricky staying in football shape physically, but mentally as well. Who knows what Ricky of all people will do with another year away from football? Personally I don't think he'd make it through a year of the NFL's stringent drug program unless he IS playing football. The CFL would be a great way to keep Ricky in football shape MENTALLY as well as physically.

I would rather Ricky stay in football shape so that he can be ready to go for us in 2007 than to leave him to his own devices for a year. I don't think he screwed up very badly with this latest suspension incident and I'd not like to see him punished by not being able to make any money. He does have a lot of bills to pay right now. The Phins should let him play as a way of STICKING IT TO THE NFL for this decision. You know the NFL doesn't like seeing one of its big stars playing up in Canada and winning the Grey Cup up there, making $200k or $300k even though the NFL suspended the man to try and punish him.

I say stick it to the NFL. Let him play, and let him be glorious up there.

I didn't know they could do that! What if hes clean and everything???

I think he should go and play, yeah this won't directly effect the fins, but the indirect effect on the phins is that:
-you have a player that didn't sit out a whole season
-he aging so being active in this manner would be best
-he's going to come back to the fins ready to go a the beginning of the season

Win - Win situation.

They do have grrrreat pot up there. But I agree 100%. Wouldn't it be swell to be able to watch highlights!!! Shoot do they have CFL ticket?

Dude has kids...he gotta support them somehow. Although Ricky has screwed himself royally, he still has to make a living.

He should be allowed to play.

....and it shows how dedicated he is to playing, which only helps his trade value....otherwise, you nailed it as usual.
