I know when he came out of the draft, Miami was very interested in him. I still think Bess is going to get traded and last time I looked, beside Matthews, most Dolphin receivers are 6 foot and under. Barden is 6'6 and I think has great potential to become a nice cheap pickup. In his only start last season, people got to see how good and explosive he can be. Granted, it was aganist the Panthers, but Miami defintely needs his size and would make for a great red zone target.

Hahaha I was actually just gonna make a post about him. I love what we've done but I just don't think our redzone offense is vastly improved, we need a tall jump ball guy and Barden has shown flashes and would be a bargain.

How would he help our redzone, in 4 years in the nfl he hasnt caught a td

He was injured for awhile and with Nicks, Cruz and Manningham, how the hell was he suppose to get on the field. When Manningham left, ppl thought he would slide in and take his spot, he didn't. I live in the NJ area and most the ny giant beat reporters, say that barden is a good prospect. The problem more or less is that Coughling was a pric* with him and never used him. I say he is worth it.

So nothing he has done in the NFL, projects to what you think he is capable of being?

You might want to look again because Matthews is listed at 6'0".

4 years 29 receptions say otherwise. Hell Derek Hagan got on field over this guy and scored a td. 29 receptions 0 tds yea lets pass

I knew there would be a post about this guy as soon as I saw his name on Rotoworld. Maybe a sign and trade? Gibson for this Cat LOL

He plays/played behind better players but the one game he did start this year, he had 9 catches for 138 yards. I'd take him if he came for less and a mil. He does have some talent and tho I like Mathews a good bit, I'd rather draft Austin at 12.

This guy had one good game last year, and only broke into the giants lineup due to injuries. He may be tall, but he's slow and has bad hands. I'd say we're fine at wr.

He's been stuck in one of the top receiving cores in the NFL....it's purely a projection, when they had guys go down he played a couple of real solid games. The guy scored 36 TDs in his final 2 college seasons, with a chance he'd be a decent, cheap option in a pretty small receiving core. We need to be able to do damage in the redzone and a guy who can go up and catch a fade would be a big plus.

comeon, don't pull that. the giants also happen to be one of the best judges of talent, and if he didn't get a chance, it's not because tehy were bing big meanies, it's because he didn't deserve a chance, and didn't do anything with the chances he did have. Pass.
