Dolphins sign Seven players to Practice Squad

Five players have signed on for a chance, according to sources, with as many as three more on the way.

- C/G Mark Lewis, a rookie free agent at Oregon who can play both interior line positions.

- WR James Robinson, a CFL refugee who is raw but looks the part with his size (6-3, 193) and 4.3-range speed.

- DE Ryan Baker, has 3-4 end size (6-5, 295) and strength (34 reps with 225 at combine) combined an aggressive style of play.

- LB J.D. Folsom, was planning for life after football when the team used a seventh-round pick on him. Was around the ball a lot in camp and was one of two players (along with CB Sean Smith) with an INT in the pre-season.

- CB Will Billingsley, a member of the 2008 practice squad has excellent speed and shook off a terrible opening to camp to remain on team’s radar

According to agent John Rickert's tweet, WR Julius Pruitt headed for Dolphins practice squad.

Doesn't look like Pruitt was even on a team for preseason. Is he a UDFA?

I'm glad Folsom made it. He could be good if he can get some size on him. He was getting abused this whole training camp.

I wish Kershaw was eligible. I liked the kid.

I would think he would be. He hasn't had an accrued season, or three full years on the practice squad. So he should have a bit left.

Even if he did though, Folsom was always more likely to stay as a younger player and draft pick.

One has to wonder if Miami signs a guy like Yamon Figurs or Brian Williams to there roster. Williams I would love cause he still plays at a high level and can overtake Jason Allen spot. Figurs I would also like, but I worry who would get cut for a guy who can only KR/PR.

I was reading on the site that he wasnt eligible. Maybe he is. I was looking at our depth chart and the only middle LB we have behind the starters is Torbor. We are pretty lean at that position.

I like the fact James Robinson made the PS. I think the guy has the ability to play in this league after playing in the CFL. He has all the qualities to be great.

So We kept Nalbone in the roster why would we need 4 tight ends? That spot could had been used for a defensive player maybe Kershaw, or Courtney!

We kept him because we didn't think he'd clear waivers. We didn't want to keep four TEs and I bet we don't.
