Dolphins are having dinner with seantrel henderson next week (among others) then having him work out at their local day the next day

Never lived up to his immense potential (was the number 1 overall player in his recruiting class) but he's an interesting player

Exactly the kind of guy you want the FO to be having dinner with. The guy you can't figure out whether he's a diamond in the rough or a bust who never lived up to his potential. They'll probably learn a lot talking to him and quizzing him on exactly that.

I prefer if the Fins avoid him. IMHO he will go higher than I'd risk a pick on him given the question marks about him. And is he really a good fit in a ZBS?

If they are taking a mid round tackle, I'd go for James Hurst out of UNC. Hurst was also a 5 star coming out of high school and just has an injury concern. Hurst has some Matt Light in him.

Before I would draft Henderson, I would have to make sure he got his head out of his a!@ and was going to play to his potential. I do not think that football is that important to the kid.

I agree. I would take Hurst before even thinking about Henderson.

Agree 100%. And as far as I've heard it's just the one injury he's had. I.E. I don't think he's proven injury prone at this point. If you are taking a talented mid-round tackle prospect that would have gone in the first two rounds instead of late in the draft if it wasn't for the question marks, I'd take Hurst over Henderson ten times out of ten. IMHO Hurst is a good fit for the ZBS as well.

Hurst only broke a leg. No serious injury history. My point about player dinners is theyre prob most useful with guys you're not sure about mentality wise. Theyll be better able to form a view on Henderson after an informal evening with him.

Guys a waste of space

You made sense in the first post. Henderson is physically gifted enough that what you are talking about makes sense. Try to figure out what's going on in his head.

I just heard Henderson just walked off today half way through his pro day. Not a good sign if true. He could slip to UDFA status if he gets a worse reputation.

He's had back problems too. Again, I wouldn't touch him outside of the 7th. Just too many issues to be worth the possibility he works out. But some sucker is going to take the cheese in the middle rounds and get stuck.

From Barry Jackson via Armando's Blog
Henderson did not speak with the media after the workout. David Levine, Henderson's agent, told The Herald's Barry Jackson that Henderson felt dehydrated and sick and that was the reason he had to stop.

[Update: Henderson bench pressed 225 pounds 23 times. He checked in at 6-7 and 339 pounds. He was 331 pounds at the NFL combine.]

just reinforcing why he was not on my oline targets list in the draft scoops

Henderson has the prototype physical tools of a NFL tackle. Taking him to dinner, and let him talk about himself. High risk / high reward type of lower round pick. Shame the kid has mush between his ears.
