Thank God they found no takers.......Jack MIGHT be ok with that injury...who knows???....but we needed players without injury issues who can come in healthy & contribute.

I feel bad for the kid and hope it works out for him (and we may find ourselves very lucky he didn't go to one of our AFC East rivals) but that injury , described as a "time bomb", is way too questionable to throw away picks for an unsure thing on.
 
Is that article saying that they traded up then Jack got picked or that they traded up after that for Howard? I didn't like either trade up yesterday and today they feel even worse. Seemed unnecessary and we basically traded away a 3rd and 2 4ths and we still have plenty of holes on this team.

I feel like the trade-ups while the draft is in progress are not officially done until the pick arrives because you are usually trading up for a specific player, not trading up for the sake of trading up.
 
Can you imagine getting two players expected to go top 5 in the draft? i think the issue with Jack is similar to Ajayi whether the knee holds up for the second contract. Potentially the biggest steal in the entire draft.
 
Essentially for Miami to trade up for Jack, jumping Jacksonville, a team probably wanted their third rounder in 2016.

In other words we passed on Myles Jack to take Xavien Howard and Kenyan Drake. Oof. Hurts even more now.
 
No question. Jack would have been huge. Fins felt good about him. Wanted to trade up. Just got outbid.

And look at what we were willing to give up to get a #4 receiver. Those resources couldn't have been better spent on getting Jack? You could have gotten him and used what was left over to trade up from the third round to get one of the corners as that whole "corner run" thing didn't happen until the back half of the 2nd. Then you avoid ****ting the bed with Drake and probably have a fourth rounder left over to take a better RB in Kenneth Dixon or Alex Collins.

I am glad the intent to draft him was there, it shows they are willing to get the players they want. I'm sick of everyone being so negative all the time. Most of us don't watch college football, let alone watch each individual prospects games. And on top of that, your talent in college does not translate to your talent in the NFL most of the time, so no one here has any idea what any of these players are going to be like. You know who knows? The people that work for the Dolphins that spent the last year gathering all the info and such to take the players they WANTED.

Would have been interesting if it was between Apple and Jack.. think they would have went Apple
