Just checked the forecast - scattered thunderstorms, 40% chance of precip. Com'on RAIN!!! If locals wanna give weekend weather updates on this thread, that's primarily why I started it.

I wonder what Brees' record is in outdoor bad weather. He's played in sunny San Diego and then indoor New Orleans his whole career, so I'm wondering if playing in bad weather throws him off a bit.

Be carefull what you wish for. With how bad our tackling is I don't really want to see them in a bad weather game. Also, and I know I'll get flamed for this but Ricky seems to lose his balance at times too easily as it is(how many times have we seen him trip over his own feet on that jet sweep?). I think that was more of an issue last year as opposed to this year.... maybe he did something to work on it in the offseason, but still....

Brees played college ball at Purdue though. They have their fair share of rainy games. Hope he forgot what it was like.

A mud fest would be fun to watch, but I don't want that to be the excuse if we win.

Football is played in conditions. There's no excuse. The weather is the weather. If you're a team that falls apart because conditions aren't perfect for you then you're not really that good of a team. If it rains and we win the weather is no more excuse for the Saints than it would be for us if conditions are perfect and the Saints win. You wouldn't hear Miami fans grousing about how the conditions were perfect for their passing attack and therefore the victory is a hollow one.

He is far removed from college, spent 5 years in nice and sunny san diego and 4 years in a temperature controlled dome.. Im thinking if we have a typhoon, he most certainly will be affected, but then again, so will our QB..

I'm not trying to make excuses. But reality is that some QBs play better than others in bad weather. I remember that when Brett Favre was at Green Bay, he had some ridiculous winning percentage when the temperature was below freezing. I think it was like 30 wins, 1 loss, or something like that.

I think rain favors our running game over their passing game but it also often leads to a lot of turnovers. I think if we don't turn it over, we can definitely beat them....we need long ball control drives to keep Brees on the bench, along with some good tackling.
