Rumor has it that Miami is talking to Detoit about trading up to the #2 spot in the draft. its becoming more and more evident to me, that miami is trying to move ahead of Cleveland, who has been mentioned as being one of the teams interested in drafting Brady at #3. I dont mind drafting Brady but at what cost are we talking about.

If they do that they should take Calvin Johnson and NOT Brady Quinn.

I have mixed feelings about this...... It seems easy for a lot of people to say right now that we need the picks more than any 1 player which I agree with, but if this rumor was in fact true and even a few years down the road if Quinn did end up being an all pro QB then whatever we gave up to get him this year would be WELL worth it!!! I also wouldn't be completely upset if Calvin Johnson was the guy we were moving up to get either....... as much as we NEED a Franchise QB, Calvin is just the type of player that only comes around once in a VERY VERY long time.

This "rumor" was simply conjecture from one ESPN analyst wasn't it? Not really a rumour at all just one guy making wild guesses at what may happen.

I don't see us moving up that high to select Quinn.
I think the highest we'd be willing to move into is the 5th or 6th spot to trump possible interest from Minny and especially Houston.

I'd prefer us to trade down if possible and take a shot at Stanton with our early 2nd.

SORRRY!! Bust in the making!!!

Care to give reasons behind that statement?

Let me guess first. The 'he can't win big games' argument? :D

He's the best pro prospect this year. Learned under a pro system and has shown that he has great skills. I don't see how he can be considered a 'bust in the making' already.

If he ends up being one, so be it. However, it's too early to label anyone a boom or bust.

I think Quinn will be a pretty decent QB, but if we moved up to #2 I would rather take Russell, Thomas, or CJ, before Quinn....I don't think there is a gaurantee that Russell is the 1st pick. I still think Quinn is going to the Cleveland Browns.

We're not moving up guys....Muller and Cam like picks...if anything we'll move down which I'd fine with.

Ozzy rules!!

has anyone else heard this rumor because this is the first time i have ever heard it? i really hope its true and i would rather draft Calvin Johnson but i would be ok with taking Quinn. I dont think its worth trading up for an O-lineman so i wouldnt be happy if we traded up for Thomas.

If we trade up I'll be happy if we get either Brady Quinn or Calvin Johnson. Preferably Quinn though since it's about time we draft a QB in the first round considering how well we've done with QB's in the 1st round.

Sorry but you have no clue what you are talking. Quinn has been moving up the ranks very fast. Miami would be a very lucky team to get him. But he will not be around by the 5th pick.

I doubt it very much that Miami will be trading up.We have 3 picks in the top 60. Alot more than most teams. Cameron knows what he is doing
