Free Agency:
Sign Nate Clements or Asante Samuel. We need a CB now. I think this would be a better option than to draft a CB because that might take a while for him to become a constant starter in this league.

Mock Draft:

1) Jared Gaither-OT-Maryland. This is the pick you guys will probably hate the most. I think a LT is the biggest hole on this team and this guy could be the answer. He has declared for the draft and I think by draft time, he will be a top 10 pick. He's 6'9" and 350 lbs. We need to once and for about 10 years fix this LT problem and here's our chance. I think the QB's will be gone (Russell and Quinn) and I do not think Brohm will declare. WR's at #9 are usually not as good as their pick.

2) LaMarr Woodley-DE/OLB-Michigan. We need that pass rushing OLB and he would be perfect for it. He would bring that nastiness that's missing from our LB core. Plus, he could play defensive end if we really needed it.

3) Steve Smith-WR-U.S.C. This guy would be a good fit for our team. I think that Chambers deserves another chance at #1. This guy would blend in really well with Chambers, Booker, Welker, and Hagan. He also has really reliable hands which we are missing some of the time.

4) Jordan Palmer-QB-U.T.E.P. This is for you QB lovers out there. He is really a pure potential pick and has the bloodline of Carson Palmer. He would be an upgrade over Joey IMO.

6) Brian Smith-OLB-Missouri. If one day Zach decides to reitre, Crowder would likely move to MLB and this guy could be a starter one day for this team. He would provide good depth also.

7) Le'Ron McClain-FB-Alabama. He is probably the best pure FB in this draft and would be a nice upgrade over Barnes. He would really help with blocking and could also carry the ball if needed to.

Notes:

I don't have us taking a DT because I think we have a nice young group behind our "dinosaurs":lol:. The Wrights, Vickerson, and Evans. Evans and M. Wright seemed to play well when they actually got the chance.

I think LT is the biggest hole on this team. WR at #9 could be a waste and I think drafting a QB in the 1st round would really lower Daunte's confidence even more. Give Daunte a shot.

Will Poole isn't coming back to the Dolphins.
 
Not bad except Gaither is a major reach at this point. We need a LT, but we shouldn't be reaching for anyone in the draft with the position we are in. This is a very good draft and the spot we are in could allow us to pick up a top tier player that slides or if not will allow us to pick up a very good player still. Unless Thomas slips to us or we trade down taking a LT IMO isn't the best decision.

I also don't love Asante Samuel. I think he is a good CB, but we have good CB's. We need a shut down (or as much as a CB can be with the new rules) CB to lead that unit. Clements fits that mold, but Samuel IMO doesn't.

Other than that I really like it. Woodley would be a great pick in the 2nd and I like Palmer alot as well.

we have good CBs? are we talking about the same dolphins... fins cbs and dbs for that matter were HORRIBLE... only reason they didnt get burnt more then thay did was bc of our front 7.. we need a better CB
 
Jared Gaither is HUUUUUGE. He doesnt have much experience but hasnt given up a single sack in his 2 seasons at MD. I think his stock will either rise or fall (most likely rise) in the combine. That would be awesome for the fins bc we will have a shot at him, maybe even Thomas (highly unlikely) or maybe some1 like Dwayne Jarret or Brady Quinn.
 
i would love if the draft turned out like this smith,woodley,palmer and gaither that would be awesome this would help us alot

Is Pope's contract ending this year? I can't believe I forgot Lemon. I thought we put some kind of tender on him that if another team wants him they have to give up a 2nd round pick for him. Is that true?
 
woodley? 2nd? not really doubt it. only thing may be his speed in question or else if he does a good 40 he wont last i hope he does tho. gaither is a monster and wouldnt' mind him. look at the mamouth in McNeal, he is doing very damn well. smith the OLB i heard is a speeeeeeeedster but if hes there go for it although ti see him go around 3rd round.

You think Woodley will go in the 1st? Smith in the 3rd? He just came off an injury. I think the later rounds is more realistic.
