2007 Offseason Moves:

Big FA signings:
Donte Stallworth (Speed that Mueller wants) & Kris Dielman (Knows Houck + Cameron very well.)

Restructures:
Zach Thomas, Jason Taylor, Kevin Carter, and Chris Chambers (if he will.)

Resign:
Lemon, Morris, Barnes, Welker, McIntosh, Fonoti, Alabi, Vickerson, Adams, Pope, McCune, Poole, Bell, Denney, & Tillman.

Big Cuts:
Booker, James, McInney, Anderson, Shelton, Mare, Harrington, & Jacox.

2007 Miami Dolphins Draft:

1) Brady Quinn-QB-Notre Dame. This would be a great pick for us if Quinn falls to #9, which could very well happen. Cam would strongly influence this pick since he is a QB guy. Quinn Would not start right away, but could start 1-2 years down the road for us and could be that real franchise QB we've been looking for.

2) Ryan Kalil-OC-USC. Cam's offense needs a good C and this guy would do it for us. He's a little undersized, but plays bigger than his size.

3) Anthony Spencer-DE/OLB-Purdue. I really think this guy could fall to us. Moss, Moses, Adams, Abiarimi, Carriker, Johsnon, Woodley, and Anderson could all be picked before him, so he could fall to us. If not him, one of the other DE/OLB guys is bound to fall to the 3rd. He would be a great pass rusher and would be exactly what Mueller is looking for.

4) Chase Johnson-OT-Wyoming. Has Houck size (6' 8", 325 lbs.) and could be starting for us in a couple of years. He was one of the top OT's in the nation at one point during the season, but fell off a little near the end.

6) John Talley-CB-Duke. Would provide depth for us and played pretty well in college.

7) Ryan Moore-WR-Miami, Fl. Would provide nice depth & youth to our WR core.

What do you guys think? Do you think that would be a good offseason?

That would be a hell of an offseason. I don't know that Quinn, Kalil and Spencer will be there at those picks, but if we ended the first day with Those three I would be elated. The only place I would think would need to change would be the secondary. We need to upgrade that spot at least a little.

Anthony Spencer may well not get out of R1 let alone get to R3.

Just one thing. I'd hold off on cutting Mare until Prater proves he's an upgrade during camp. JMO. But I other than that. I love it.

Why resign Poole? He hasn't played in two years and we really don't know if he'll play again.
I can understand why you want to cut Mare but let's see if Prater is the answer before doing so.
You want to resign Fonoti and cut Shelton? That makes no sense to me.
Cut Booker?
After the week Anthony Spencer had at the Senior Bowl, being the only DE to have any kind of success against Levi Brown, I doubt he falls to the 3rd round.

And why in the hell would we resign Tillman after his performances this past season? A UDFA would be just as good at this point.

looks good but we have to address our defensive line. You did not mention Holiday, Traylor or wilkinson. The DE position is fine, it is the interior line that needs the youth. Nose tackles/Defensive Tackles that are required to make the 3-4 work are really hard to find through free agency and there are some big boys that could be available at the 9th pick. However, If Quinn is there you just can't pass that up.

I see two offensive lineman drafted. That might be a bit much. The line last year showed improvement and I do not want to drop two picks on O-lineman. I just see the O-line as a position that we can do more with less because of good coaching and an aggressive offense. That is just me though.

those first 3 draft picks would be great if it happened.
it would be awesome if we could land Dielman.
