Hey,
I was just curious on what you guys think about our DB's i def think are D will be better with Saban and will be top 5 on stoping the run.

I am very worried about the DB's on our team we only have Madison left.
Plus i heard that new Saftey we got from the Saints cant catch a ball on his life. I heard he can tackle very well but has no hands.

Any update on Will Poole?

The CB position is concerning me too. Will Poole will definitely be out for the season, so that doesn't help matters. Though I love Madison, he's lost a step. Mario Edwards and Reggie Howard are good third corners at best. And, Travis Daniels is a rookie. I wish we could find someone else just in case - Ty Law is not a good option b/c of money issues and this upcoming yr is a rebuilding yr and he wouldn't stay any more than 1 yr.

yea plus Ty Law is going to KC :(

There gonna have a sick CB duo .

we still got sam we will be alright

We lost 3/4 of our secondary from last year to include poole, who's injuried this year, so that's 4 out of 5 guys we've lost. Now the replacements, Tebuck, Tillman, and ? Edwards\Daniels\Mario..Does that scare anybody? IF we pick up Lance that would settle my nerve a little bit. Either that or our scheme will have to be very good and executed flawlessly. But it's their first year in this scheme, what does that tell you..mistakes..Y. Bell can you please step it up and take over for tillman, I'd feel better with just that.

Listening to you guys in earlier posts, the general consensus was that if the front 7 do there job we wont need any decent DB's--I tend to agree with that so having Sam and whoever will be a bonus, yeah :)

yeah, i really believe in the pass rush theory. I mean if the QB doesn't have time, how much of a problem can a young or just plain inexperience CB be?

The problem will be when the opposing QB does have time to throw the ball :(

if the QB has time to throw the ball, im blaming the D-line if theres a deep pass completed. Because they know the situation there in. Sure, the CB and safety will have been the ones that didn't stop the play, but every man on that D-line knows full well that they are the leaders and the strong point of our defense. They now that its there job to control the opposing offense.

i think we could be fine.Sam is a shut down corner that needs to make key ints.I think travis daniels is gonna be our draft gem and will do good this year.
