"Interesting" article on QB depth in the NFL. The article states the Dolphins are one of the teams that look shaky at the QB position.

He goes on to state that Cleo has looked better than Joey in preseason?:hmmm: (not in the games I've watched)

Personally I'm excited about our depth at QB this season and have been impressed with Joey's performance and am confident he can do the job if God forbid Dante goes down.

What do you expect from FoxSports, an informed opinion? Not going to get it. I'll take our QB backups over many other teams situation. Joey and Cleo look pretty good to me.

Dont worry about it. Just sit back have a beer and watch our fins win the SB

You're right that he must have been looking at TC clips and not game film from the preseason. Harrington looked just fine the last two weeks and certainly seperated himself from Lemon. However, our QB situation is really rather shaky, but looking better and better and certainly better than the last few seasons. DC is a legit NFL QB, perhaps when playing his best, one of the best, but he didn't play his best last season and he's coming off the injury that despite his good showing so far, may still have a setback in the near future coming to us, as the writer said...due to his style of play. That said, Harrington has started in the league and isn't any worse than Gus was last year, perhaps better...we won't know that unless he's pressed into duty when it counts. Lemon is not all that. He's a journeyman 3rd QB. The reason why the Fins Fans don't share this guy's opinion is because Joey and DC represent better QBs than any (1st, 2nd or 3rd string) we've had since Danny retired, simple as that. Obviously, most of us believe that DC will prove the nay-sayers wrong and have a 2004 type year (his 2004, not ours) at the helm for us...

That article is totally FUBAR. I watched all three of our preseason games so far and Cleo Lemon looked freaking horrible 75% of the time, while Harrington looked poised and comfortable and was very productive.
Frankly, I think Miami has one of the best QB situations in the NFL, if not the best.

i'll agree about our starter. you never know if that knee can start acting up. however, joey has increasingly looked like the qb detroit thought they were getting at #3 oeverall. good decisions, confidence, command of the offense. me likey.

by the way(off topic), havent daunte and joey combined for one int all preseason? vs stellar D's?

I think our qb situation looks better than it has in years, but an injury to culpepper would be devastating to our season. Although Harrington has looked pretty solid, I don't think he has enough at this point to take this team to the SB. A little more coaching up and he will be a better player in a year.

i have watched all three games and was at the carolina game, lemon looked lousy, harrinton is impressive and so is daunte, i have no idea how they are saying cleo looked good in preseason

Lemon looked good against the Jags, I think. Posting a rating in excess of 114. Otherwise, he looked average at best.

Shaky? Well from what I have seen I feel we have one of the deepest set of QB's in the league.

Shaky? Were they watching the games on a vibrating bed?

Absolutely correct sir... Anyone that doesnt think we have a very capable QB situation is freakin bananas!

"The Dolphins are counting on a huge year from new quarterback Daunte Culpepper. Culpepper has looked fine this summer, but he remains an injury risk based on his style of play. Cleo Lemon has played better than Joey Harrington for the backup role and you have to doubt if either quarterback could win a game if pressed into a starting assignment."

Way off in my opinion. I think Joey is one of the better backups in the league (Jax's Garrad and Atlanta's Schuab are the best, if you care). Cleo has impressed me in the 3rd string spot. Take away his one bad game, and his statistics are amazing.
Seems like the author was trying to find some trouble with nearly every team. He was really scraping the bottom of the barrel when he turned to Miami, since we may have the deepest Qb corps in the league

Clearly the guy is writing based on things he heard during the past or based on Harrington's past in Detroit.

Anyone who has watched the preseason at all wouldn't have written this article. Just typical of media these days, just put something out without really looking into what you are writing about.
