Aww who cares what they think, there not on the field playing.

We got a good chance at the playoffs.

I wouldn't say a good chance, but it's enough of a chance that analysts shouldn't say our season is over. I hope this article is posted in the locker room. The guys seem to play better when people are putting them down.

they didnt say we had no chance at the playoffs...but they did say that about the steelers.

We have a very very little chance at the playoffs. Unless we win out, which aint happening.

We've done what we needed to these past couple of games...

For the one millionth time, we don't have to win out. Which one of the Chiefs, Jaguars, Jets or Bengals will go 10-6? I think the Chiefs and Jags will go 9-7 with the Bengals at 8-8. If we just take care of business, we'll be fine.

Yeah, but the Jets remaining schedule is the Bears, Texans, Packers, Bills, Vikings, Dolphins, and Raiders. If we finish 9-7, the Jets will have to lose 4 of those games so they finish 8-8. We do not beat them in our division if we both are tied at 9-7 (if you want I'll explain why). Sorry, but I see that as very unlikely given their remaining games.

We have a GOOD chance at the playoffs?

NO! 9 teams with better records, 3 teams with same record but have beatent us in head to head, 1 team tied with us, and only 2 behind us.

We don't have a GOOD chance. We have almost NO chance.

yeah but it ain't over! just almost over.

But I would like the explanation of the jets, if it isn't division record.

I love the way Nick has reordered the entire team.

With a mess of scheme that Murlakey enterred this season, our OL was very weak, sending Culpepper back to recovery and giving so few time on Joey that was like seeing a Feeley clone.

When you change your starting QB with a guy who's comming back from injuries, there may be lots of risks, and Nick run them all because he loves to win, and many times when you want to win, you have to take risks. Joey was the assurance ticket and he starts to fit in the offense.

Murlakey surely went wild when Nick asked him to be less "gadgetized" and more "conservative", but that was the magic formula that worked well at the end of last year. With a run first, throw second arsenal, this offense will become something special with more time. IF these Dolphins are willing to give the best of them, those men are able to recover THIS season.

Obviously by now, we are counting that both Jets and Patriots, or some others wildcarders have some losses, but that may happen.

The Dolphins dont deserve the playoffs for the way they stunk up the field the first 7 weeks. Maybe next year.

Well it's still possible to claim the tie breaker over NY because if they lose to us and the Bills, we'd both be 3-3 in the division. Also, we'd be 7-5 in the conference and the Jets are 4-4 right now and that's two more losses for them. Who's to say they don't lose a game or two against the Packers, Texans or Bills? The Jets are not a very good team but are playing way above their abilities right now. Trust me, they will fade out.

Sure here it is:

Dolphins - The best they can do in the division is 3-3 or 2-4 (which means we are DONE).

Jets - The best they can do in division is 4-2 or 3-3 if they lose to Bills and the Fins.

Basically in order for us to have same division record with Jets is if they lose to us and Bills, and we beat both Jets and Bills. We would both be 3-3 - honestly I find this inprobable because I dont see the Jets losing to the Bills in New York. But let's say we both finish with 3-3 division record, and we both finish either 10-6 or 9-7, then the next deciding factor is common opponents.

There are 8 common opponents: Dolphins are 2-2 so far, Jets are 2-1 so far. Given the Jets upcoming schedule, they only play 1 team with a winning record - that's this week against the Bears. Yes there is a chance we still beat them out if we tie, but alot of things have to happen. I think it's more probable if we win out, and they lose 3 of their last 7 games - including losing to us in Miami.

OK, that dispatches the Jets, what about the Chargers, the Jags, the Bills, the Steelers and the Texans? They all gotta do worse than us too.
