Michael Bush Undergoes Surgery

This doesn't sound good. Someone will take a chance on him either late first day or early 2nd day of the draft.

He's expected to be out another couple of months and won't be able to work out Monday during Louisville's pro day

I really liked this guy, tough luck for him with a leg injury, he would have been a really high pick before that I think.

Yeah, the only way we would even think about taking Bush is if he somehow slipped to the second day. That, however, is highly unlikely. Someone will still draft him in the second or third round based on potential alone.

Yeah with only one 1st round pick Miami has other needs besides RB so I do agree, if by chance Bush lasts until round 2 I hope we grab him.

I think with this setback, Bush lasts until late in Day 1. I just cannot see us passing on him given the opportunity mid draft. A backfield with two young backs like Bush and Brown would be amazing.

If he were there in the 4th I would take him. How much longer do you guys think Ricky will play? What if Ricky gets busted again or retires, do you feel like we have someone who can take carries? What if Ronnie gets hurt?

IMO it does not hurt to take a potential star RB in the 4th round. I doubt he lasts that long however.

In fact I would bet he goes mid/late second round.

God bless Ricky, but he's far from a sure thing--and Cam & Mueller's true feelings for him are unknown--except that one of them traded him to us. With Morris and Minor gone, and our new FB almost old enough to run for president, what happens if Ronnie was to bang his wrist on another helmet? I'm not saying he's fragile--far from it, it can happen to anyone, which is my point.

If my impressions of Cam are correct, I promise you he will not leave us short at RB. One way or the other, he's going to want a complementary top notch RB to pair with Ronnie. And he's probably going to take him (if it's in the draft) higher than a lot of fans would like. But it's important. Maybe it would be a scat back (Booker-FSU), or maybe a bruiser like a younger Sledge, Alstott, or Rosie O'Donnell. Ya know, somebody big & scary. :D

:D Sorry to break balls.

I'd love to take a chance on Bush late day 1.
why take him in the first day when we already have 2 really good RBs. if you are worried about ricky staying here for another year then next year is the draft to get a RB cuz that will be one of the best drafts for a RB. there is alot of good RB coming out next year. we need to use our first day pics on WR, QB, O-LINE and maybe CB.

No, we have one good RB. Ricky Williams is not on our active roster. Ronnie Brown is not Superman and Ricky Williams was not exactly elected "Most Dependable" of his senior class in high school. We need another active, dependable RB on our roster this year.
