I cant post the link cause Im on my phone, but PFT is reporting the Bucs want to get rid of Clayton. While I have heard he is a huge underachiver he is another WR available. Is he worth the pick, no. But if he is cut it would not hurt to give him a try

the Bucs are really selling out. they traded Gaines Adams to the Bears for a 2nd rounder. that said, i don't think Clayton is on our radar.

We'd be better off just activating Turner

After having a lights out rookie 1200 yd receiving year with no one special throwing to him, since then he hasn't come close to half the 80 receptions that year. Quite a tailspin considering. 6'4" 197 are good metrics. What went wrong? Maybe a strong QB, the presence of other receivers and a good organization might provide the change of scenery that works for him.

I doubt he'll be released and will no doubt attract the attention of teams like Chicago and Seattle. It's a matter of what he'll cost. Doubtful he's worth more than the 5th already traded for Thigpen so I don't know if we'd have a horse in that race even if we were interested. But still, based on size, his first year in the league and age, he really is intriguing.

this guy is atrocious. Derek Hagan is more efficient at catching the ball than this guy.....

Unless the Clayton your referring to is Mark Clayton circa 1983-89 I'm not interested.

I live in Tampa...Clayton himself dropped 4 balls last week...He's terrible IDK what happened after his rookie year...But I also can't see anyone trading for a guy who just signed a 5 yr 25 million dollar deal who hasnt earned any of it in the last 3 years

Sometimes players need to go somewhere else to get there act together. I am open to improving our wr"s position! With that said I would would really like to see Turner get his chance first on the field.

If we added Clayton, what WR are we going to get rid of??? I'd rather keep the guys we have than let one go and take a gamble on a guy with a contract thats a hell of a lot bigger than he deserves.

bring back chambers before putting these other clowns on the field.

Clayton HAS some ability, he showed it his rookie year and at LSU. But after his first season he was never able to match his success. Probably because of the constant QB shuffles in Tampa, coordinator changes, coaching changes, a revolving door of talent around him. I don't know that he's the #1 WR we're looking for, but it might be worth a shot if we can get him for nothing.

hell no hes a big under acheiver like one of the posters said i would rather activate turner he might be good when gameday starts

clayton fell off since his rookie year and they blamed it on gruden .

clayton still aint good and they gave him a big contract for like no reason tampa bay is just horrible and they need to send the GM with clayton for the trade that they do.

but clayton might be serviceable for teams like the lions or what not.

We don't need a guy who drops balls, we have a bunch of possession receivers now so a move for a WR should be about a #1.
